Oh goodness gracious yes. Every so often, something pops along on the internet that is just sheer magic. Until it's all over the bloody place and you're sick of the sight of it. This is genius. Upload an mp3 of your choice, use the sliders to select the amount of required cowbell and *yes!* Christopher Walken, press the button and wait for the science. As an example, here is Samiam's Cradle with 27% cowbell and 47% Walken, which is probably overdoing it a bit. And somebody who I assure you wasn't me has added this barnstorming version of The Final Countdown, which isn't a combination of words you get to hear very often. On the plus side, it's also a mercifully brief version. When doing your own, cowbell restraint is recommended, as too much makes it go all fast and rubbish.

on a side note, i was in guitar center the other day, and i saw this cowbell that was painted black with this red circle a painted/drawn in the center. i guess they're trying to sell cowbells as rebellious and dangerous now. i found it really damn funny.

hey, wasn't there a thread here a while ago where members uploaded mp3's of their own recordings? maybe anything that got posted there could be made into a cowbell-a-thon!

I'm very tempted to repost the original track I put up there last night, but don't want to get into trouble with anyone

Some Velvet Morning didn't quite work Tracks with regular percussion/rhythm probably work best... And it takes a wee while for the program to get the hang of what it's supposed to be doing, which is why it tends to struggle at the start. As this delightful rendition of If You Leave Me Now by Chicago amply illustrates. EDIT: Or maybe it just naturally works better with AOR - Africa by Toto (great video, I particularly enjoy the bookcase solo) with 51% Cowbell and 100% betterness.

Art of Letting go, only over the solo tho. You don't want too much of a good thing I don't think I've ever seen my drummer that happy

I'm not a very good judge of other peoples' sense of humour though. I might just sneak it in when nobody's looking, as I really like the way it turned out, compared to some of the more random/failed efforts...

And sometimes the cowbell-generator gets it just lovely. With apologies to all involved.
