As far as success and longevity, I am not sure how any trio could even compare to Rush.

ok, screw you all.
from their creation to 2006, the melvins were a 3 piece. and on many, many occasions, they kicked much ass. so i'll gladly put pre-"(a) senile animal" melvins into the mix for this... even though i do like that album (nude with boots, not so much...)
