About time! And thanks for posting this We've been following this for over two years, and even though quite a lot of these have been on summerskiss' myspace (My Jerusalem's 66 - which was previously Jeff Klein's 66 - and Susan Marshall's Going to Town are amazing. Ooh - and Shawn Smith's Turn on the Water which doesn't appear to have made the cut) but I'm really looking forward to hearing this in its entirety

Yeah, it took them ages to do this. I have heard a couple of songs, including Klein and Marshall but not Lanegan. I bet his Tonight is genius, it's such a good song. And Jo Arthur's there too! I love him

Yeah, it's kinda hard to tell from the sample as it's so short, but it's not long to wait

Thanks for spreading the word! We're very excited about the release (finally!) and Mark's involvement. Believe me, his track is stellar!

This looks super interesting.
Next to Lanegan's contribution, I'm most looking forward to hearing Mighty Fine's version of "Somethin' Hot."
Lots of other artists I'm excited about on here too.
Yay 2009!

I agree. I love The Domani International's version of Debonair too. Uptown Again by Sonny Oaks sounds terrible though. Is that organ or something?

Is this the same song Jeff Klein used to have on his myspace player?

Why on earth is it My Jerusalem now? The first time I heard it was like two years ago.

If I remember rightly, Jeff Klein's planned Let's Be Enemies album (which I believe he once said was threatening to become a boxset) has sort of ceased to be and split into 2 - the stuff he did with Dave Rosser and Rick Nelson (amongst others) became My Jerusalem, and the more singular stuff is planned to be released as The Posthumous Jeff Klein, which apparently is also out this year.
And 66 isn't alone in this - Jeff gave away Heart of Glass Sleepwalking as a Let's Be Enemies sampler bloody ages ago which I believe is on the upcoming album, as are Bury it Low and Poison the Truth, which hav eboth appeared on Jeff's myspace under his own name.

Ha ha, did Jeff ever release anything he planned/promised on time? Gosh, he sucks but I love him anyway Yeah, I heard Sleepwalking, Bury and Poison ages ago too. Thanks a lot Foz. Btw, is 'This Heart Is A Pump' My Jerusalem or Jeff? It's so beautiful.

All of which reminds me - didn't they say that whatever the My Jerusalem album is called was going to be released in the first week in June? You have a day and a bit.... I have absolutely no idea about Heart... But is indeed lovely. And as it's been mentioned, everyone should immediately bugger off to this site and listen to it. And also take in Mr Parris's great artwork while you're there, as it is indeed great - and it's his site, so it'd be rude not to.

Incidentally, all the musicy bits on Lanegan's Tonight interpretation are handled (probably deftly) by David Rosser.

That's great, Dave is super-talented. Btw, is there anything that you don't know Foz? Thanks

I should have said that this nugget was pinched from Dave's myspace site, as linked to via Summerskiss this morning. And there was me earlier moaning about crediting sources fairly, so that's me suitably chastened...

Ah, neither Dave nor Summer's Kiss are my myspace friends, that's why I know shit. Thanks again for keeping us up to date sir.
