Should be an easy choice here.

I like the whistling at the beginning of The River Rise, though.

Whistling is good.
And this poll won't be easy. I'm thinking there are four that will get the majority of the votes. And hopefully lots of debate!

Damn, I just noticed i put the apostrophe in the subject in the wrong spot. That messes up everything...

There's only one way to go here, off course! What's the doubt?
There should be an "others" choice. Every poll has "others". It would win for sure.

my opinion - one way street is pretty crap on record. i think it sounds REALLY dull.
and im not really a big 'field songs' fan.
good songs, but... i dont know. it doesnt grab me. i think it's pretty clear lanegan was bored of that style (hence the massive departure for weird chill/bubblegum and his slightly disparaging remarks about previous albums being, stylistically, a lot to do with mike johnson). Field Songs sounds a bit tired, but has some very good moments. it just seems like the end of that road.
it's the QOTSA fans' choice, in my opinion. the best of the new breed of lanegan fans got onboard in time for field songs... so it's their 'special' album cos it's the first that a lot of them heard.
that isnt meant to sound patronising or superior. hearing good music before other people doesnt make anyone better than anyone else. by time i heard field songs, id heard so much lanegan over such a long period that it didnt have the same effect on me that it would if it was the first album i heard by him, or if i had only recently become a fan.
but bubblegum is great. fresh. alive. passionate about making music.
i am SO fucking boring and self-righteous, im going to stop talking now.

but Lanegan has ALWAYS had disparaging remarks about his previous albums. When Scraps came out he was full of bad memorys aobut WFTHG.
Feild songs is very pop, but it's very beautiful, too. It's just a really great record, though a rather 'approachable' one. I'm thinking about getting it for my father for Christmas.
