strange the link works for me, here's a quick cut & paste of some of the info...
The Soulsavers - "It's Not How Far You Fall, It's The Way That You Land". New album. Soulsavers (Rich Machin, Ian Glover) return with a new album. This time round they have joined up with Mark Lanegan who provides vocals on 9 of the albums 11 tracks. The album also has cameo appearances by Will Oldham, Jimi Goodwin & PW Long. It's an eclectic recording, a unique mix of hip-hop, rock, country, soul & gospel. The album was recorded throughout 2005 between the bands home base in the North of England, and Los Angeles. The record is in its final stages, with a final mix due to take place over the next few weeks and a summer release.

i'm feeling this, i'm a big will oldham fan too, both of them on them same record is gonna be sweet. i like the idea of this, it sounds like something quite artisticly challenging for lanegan & i'm sure he'll pull it off n' show yet another side of his skills. it gets to the point now, where you know if he agrees to do something it's as it's good. the instrumental track sounds really good. something else too look forward to.

Hells yes! This is excellent news. Any new material from Mark is more than welcome. Although I will say that the title of this thread got my hopes up for a true solo album. Not a total disappointment, but a little misleading

Mark is a busy guy. This stuff is cool. They have an old site with some other downloads: www.thesoulsavers.com/Kind if similar. Not bad. I kind of cannot hear them going hip-hop, country, gospel, etc with the songs that I have heard. Hope to be amazed at some future date.

they have a sort of hip-hop beat going in some of that...but yeah, it's not going all out hip-hop boogie or anything

I think Mannequin came back under a new name to avoid the ridicule of having a whole thread mocking them
