I'd love to see another European tour happening, but at the same time, if it happens, I fear American fans are gonna fly to Europe just to kick our asses...

You might want to keep an eye on The Edge Festival. It runs in Edinburgh from 1st to 31st Edinburgh . It's under the umbrella of The Edinburgh Fringe ( used to be called T on the Fringe as was sponsored by Tennants) Neither Isobel nor Mark are listed but there are often additions to it quite late in the day and they've both played it before. And if he's in Dublin on the 25th August... www.theedgefestival.com/content/

August 25th? that's right before the Reading/Leeds weekend... ie, the sort of time when festival acts are playing their warm-up shows..
My completely uninformed guess is that it could be designed to fit around the European festival circuit.
*edit - Caitlin beat me to it with the festival talk :-)

God's bodkins! We'll be away for that gig. Ah, sure twice already this is nearly enough, but not quite. I'm about to sacrifice a well-known Fianna Fail frontbencher in a ritualistic ceremony. Not in hope to be able to see Mark at another gig in Aug/Sept, just on general principle. And for the craic! Hah!

Was talking to the road manager after the Galway gig last night - which was sensational by the way - and he told me there's only a hundred or so CD's left. They were selling them for €20 and you got a free photocopied poster of the gig too. Full house and way better promoted than the Dublin show. I wish Mark's people would work with a promoter other than MCD.

Ah lovely gig. His voice is great at the moment. Really fluid. I still don't like Dave Rosser. I'm sorry. I'm sure he's a lovely guy and all, but he wrecks my head.

The Dublin and Galway gig's were both great. These dates weren't vastly different from the dates in April, so there's not much to say about the performances apart from like previously Mark's voice sounds better than ever, Dave is a fantastic partner for him on stage and the set lists are great, Dublin and Galway were identical apart from that Dying Days wasn't played in Galway. The audience in general were okay, same as before some people just couldn't shut up for an hour, experienced it at both dates, the flash photography at Dublin was insane, it was actually blinding.

I'm too shattered to go through my audio of the gig so I think it was wishful thinking and rose tinted glasses that happened there.
