No wonder he keeps his mike on a stand. Looks like he doesn't know what to do with it. What a bunch of goofball questions. I'd be bored answering them, too!

"ML: That was the way I brought the idea to him. I love Duke's singing but wanted to hog the limelight myself, as usual" love this answer

An old mini-interview at the end. This is how I always imagine his personality in real life. youtu.be/4tIJhw6AN9o

Mark Lanegan picks his favourite records in Uncut Magazine. I always love reading his lists and looking up music I don't know!

exclaim.ca/News/mark_lanegan_explains_his_classic_transformation_for_imitations"To be honest, when I do interviews with North American press, it's usually a lot of questions about grunge music, Nirvana — 'How do you feel about the new Nirvana reissue?' — that kind of shit. So, you know, it's not much fun to discuss that stuff over and over again. That doesn't happen in Europe. I think a lot of people that listen to my music over there might not even be aware of the Screaming Trees. In fact, I know that's true. It's not like I'm ashamed of it, but it's like talking about that year of kindergarten over and over again. It was a learning experience, and that's about it."

Thanks for these interviews ! I love it when I read that Mark is considering the music as a blessing, that he does not record and tour only because he needs money or because he does not know what else to do. So many artists end like that sadly. I think the fact that he does so many collaborations help because it's not the same routine again and again.

Great interview, thank you! Would like to hear that version too. So it sounds like elegie funebre was supposed to be on Manset's new record, but is on Imitations instead?
