Who knows something about the upcoming projects for Mark Lanegan ? I hope he will work/release something different from what he has done in the last couple of years (soulsavers>campbell>soulsavers>campbell). Don't get me wrong, i like those records but its getting kinda repetitive with the same 'projects'. Isn't time to work on something else ?

For what he said during the European leg of the Hawk tour, we might see a new solo album next year. Fingers crossed

I heard somewhere that he's releasing a solo album either late this year or early next year. I would like him return to stuff similar to The Winding Sheet, or Whiskey..

Isn't he supposed to record an album with Duke Garwood? It'd be really sweet...

Apparently Garwood would be the guitarist/composer for the new Lanegan solo album.

He would be writing the music or co-writing it with Lanegan, isn't it the way Mark did it on the last albums?
I always believed Bubblegum was co-written with the "desert "musicians that play on it.

Apparently Garwood would be the guitarist/composer for the new Lanegan solo album. I was under the impression that the Duke Garwood thing was a separate project. I thought we'd worked that out in the thread where this was first mentioned? I can't be bothered to check it, but I think Mark said on BBC Radio (late last year with Soulsavers?) that he was writing the new solo record AND he'd been doing an EP with Duke...

That's how I remember hearing it as well. Regardless, a new solo album is hands down my preference for next year...but honestly so long as Mark keeps making music in some form, I'll be happy.

Apparently Garwood would be the guitarist/composer for the new Lanegan solo album. i find hard to believe that mark will have just one guitaris/composer for his solo album, i've heard about a project they wants to do together... but for his solo album i think that mark has worked with his "regular" friends and collaborators. we know nothing about it but i think that he got already enough material for his solo album, i don't know how much of this material has been recorded already....but if it will be out next year i'm sure he's already at a good point with the recordings. just my 2 cents
