I was wondering which song has Lanegan's lowest frequency and deepest vocals that he hits.... No.9 ? Back Burner ? Circle The Fringers: part when Lanegan comes in its so epic, unbelievable and dark its almost scary... Front Street: Come On Feel Me part... ..... What u think ?

I find him particularly low/growly in The Raven.

The Raven, as mentioned, and Deus Ibi Est definitely have serious lows. Number Nine has some real bone rattling moments--that probably have my vote for hitting the lowest.
But whaddoiknow, once it gets past a certain point, really it's all just "THE AIR IS SHAKING" level for me.

Any-one able to work out what his range is? I've no ear at all so I'd have to sit with a stack of cds at a piano and try to work it out on the keyboard.
What is the range between say All Night Long to Wild Flowers or No Place to Fall?
The contrast live between Backburner and No Place to Fall is pretty impressive.

For the obsessive, here is a thread in another forum about vocalist's ranges, starting out with an impressive, if disputed, chart. Mark doesn't have a thread of his own in that forum, but there are several mentions.

I honestly didn't think it was Mark at first! I have had the ability to stream music and video for only about 6 months. So I get a new Mark discovery just about every day. ;D ;D ;D ;D ~Slightly obsessed at the moment, but I don't have many violent tendencies, so no worries there, Ken.
