I don't think I've ever seen this mentioned on here, I stumbled across it online a while ago. Mark did a cover version of John Cale's "Big White Cloud" which was never released. Then in a late 2010 interview Mark mentions that he will be releasing it soon. Anyone know anymore about this?

This got brought up in a John Cale thread, I think in this section, if not then over in the downloads section, I'll go a-hunting (there might be a link to download it still). I'm pretty sure it was never officially released.
Edit : I think this is okay to share, but I'm not entirely sure at the moment, so, for the benefit of anyone else reading this thread, there is a bread crumb trail in the "Mark & John Cale in LA, next Thursday" thread.

Cheers grumpella. I was going to post a link to it myself, because when I first came across it it was labelled as an unreleased track from "I'll Take Care Of You". Then a bit more searching revealed Mark saying he was going to release it soon so I thought it better not to post a link.

This cover is gorgeous. It makes me wonder what other unreleased gems are out there from his earlier solo efforts. The collaborations between him and Mike Johnson are always ace. That HAS to me Johnson on the guitar in this song given that it's from the I'll Take Care Of You days.

Are you not able to find the bread crumb trail? Since this song is, apparently, slated for official release, it's quite probable that we are not allowed, per forum rules, to post links to it. I'm afraid the link that leads to a link that leads to another, etc. may get deleted. The bread crumb trail starts here : onewhiskey.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=boarda&action=display&thread=3636

I've had the original song in my head for the past few days, so its a treat to hear that Mark has a version of, and will possibly officially release it.
