Sounds a lot like Mirrored, or is it just me?

Sounds a lot like Mirrored, or is it just me? No, it isn't just you. As soon as the song started at the show, we were thinking Mirrored, but the lyrics set us straight.

Sounds a lot like Mirrored, or is it just me? The opening chords are the same but i think as the tune develops it sounds very different. Both songs are great

Sideways n reverse is awesome: better run to the doctor girl run to the medicine" <--awesome.
I talked to Mark about this at the s.f show tonight.
I asked, Deep black vanishing train has the same guitar refrain as mirrored, do you still think that mirrored will get played again, or has it just been turned into a whole new song,
to which he SMILED and answered, "There are atleast ten songs that sound like that, because its one of the only guitar parts i know."
But yes, mirrored will see the light of live performances again someday. "it'll happen"
My jaw is on the floor in awe. To talk to Lanegan about his songs, is unbelievable.

I couldn't really hear some of the words, but here it goes:
Little moon keep hanging there don't you ever come down Tattered newspaper pages Scattered across the ground A stormed violent sea gone (...) I've tried and free myself but it's been hard to break away
So long (...) you're bound to fall (...) is not ashames Casting shadows on the wall too late to learn another game Transfixed by what isn't there and what will never change Times I've tried to free myself it's been hard to look away
There's a deep black vanishing train (...) along the track Standing on the sidewalk hands behind my back Lost on violent seas (.........) I've finally freed myself but it's been hard to break away
My hearing can be alittle off sometimes. At one point I could've sworn he sang "Yo, moon". It was a weird moment

I think its... (CHANGES IN BOLD)
YELLOW moon keep hanging there don't you ever come down Tattered newspaper pages Scattered across the ground LOST ON A violent sea gone FOR ENDLESS DAY? I've tried TOO free myself but it's been hard to break away
So long (LIGHTS?) you're bound to fall EYES not ashamed Casting shadows on the wall too late to learn another game Transfixed by what isn't SEEN and what will never change Times I've tried to free myself it's been hard to look away
There's a deep black vanishing train UPON A VERY long track Standing on the sidewalk IN THE RAIN hands behind my back Lost on violent sea DAY ON ENDLESS DAY I've finally freed myself but it's been hard to break away

I kind of doubt Mark would use the word "lads", though... unless maybe he wrote that song while sipping tea and wearing a silly hat.

Lads/Lass - both are not normally in an American's vocabulary (even a weirdo like me who grew up watching a LOT of British television on PBS - Daleks, Cybermen and Sontarans, oh my! ;D ). I'd opt for "lights."
