On the web there are rumors that you sing on the second album, Mad Season. It sounds sensational. Nah, it's crap. The thing is: the label is planning to release a special box with the re-edition of "Above" in the next year. For remastered by Mike [McCready - ed. cars.] board to be included live recordings, concert DVDs and some rarities. Among other things, three pieces that were written for the second album, but were never recorded vocals for them. I recorded these parties, and I think that came out really well. This is my small tribute to Layne and John [respectively Stayleya and Baker Saunders, both musicians have died from an overdose of heroin-editor. cars.], are no longer with us. Taken from this interview translate.google.co.uk/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.t-mobile-music.pl%2Fopinie%2Fwywiad-lubie-ten-dreszcz%2C10311.html&act=url poorly translated with google. Sounds like the Duke Garwood album will be out early next year.

Doesn't seem to be any at the moment - Double Albums are expensive to press, so maybe they're looking at the demand before making any... Hopefully something might surface for next year's RSD

I never buy reissues or deluxe editions of albums I already own, in fact I think the only one I've ever bought is the PJ - Ten deluxe edition with Unplugged DVD, but I will definitely be picking up this one

Yeah, Interlude was on a cassette promo of the album and used between I Don't Know Anything and Long Gone Day. Can't wait for this release! I still have this album on cassette ;D I love my mad season boots, great extended renditions of artificial red/diff lyrics etc. Im looking forward to this release, hopefully they won't ruin it with poor remastering. An audiophile quality release on vinyl would be nice to see also. .......... Just dug out my old Mad season boots and had a listen: Crocodile Cafe 6/11/1994 - Both 'wake up' and a 10 min version of 'artificial red' have diff lyrics/song structure. November Hotel bleeds into voodoo Chile and is nearly 18 minutes long. Cool Crocodile cafe 20/11/1994 - Both 'wake up' and 'lifeless dead' fetaure diff lyrics and song structure. Rkcndy Seattle 31/12/1994 - 'wake up' has slightly diff lyrics. 'Im above' is without Mark. Includes live version of 'I don't wanna be a soldier'. Self Pollution Radio 8/1/1995 The Moore Theatre 22/4/1995 - Includes Mark The Moore Theatre 29/4/1995 - Includes Mark Live at the Moore VCD Live at the Moore Rehearsals (including Mr Mark lanegan ;D) and interview with Mike (I shared this on Dime via a forum member years ago) Compilation - 5 live tracks from the 'I don't know anything', 'November Hotel from the 'River of deceit' single single, self pollution radio, John Lennon comp, Fun stuff.

There's a DVD quality version of the Moore Theatre rehearsals out there? How did I miss that? I only have a crappy tiny .mov- is it still being seeded anywhere?
EDIT: Yes, it's still on Dime! Thank you for the transfer & torrent!

I could do if there's enough demand but its not really the correct place for such things. I also think the majority of people on this board probably have them (I received them in a trade from Australia way back in 1999). The quality in general isn't great but listenable and certainly enjoyable. There is a few on dime at the moment. I have shared them all at some time or other can't remember whether it was on this board or not. I remember i gave the rehearsals to lady katey who put them on dime a good few years back.
|

Post by comejanuary on Jan 11, 2013 7:42:59 GMT -5
No, I'm Lady Katey, I am pretty sure that I did not torrent the rehearsals. I had the .mov up on the secret part of Time For Light but feel like I would remember if I had the rehearsals in DVD quality, but I guess anything is possible.
But anyways, I agree that there's not really a very good place to post DVDs other than on a torrent site. The files are just too big. Dime seems to have open registration now (my old one expired, shocking) because I had to register a new account to download the rehearsals this week.
I dunno if it was my DVD player or burner or something but the audio of the interview at the end was WAY out of synch?
