I have only seen one other person say they will be at the Chicago show on Thursday night. Send me a pm with your number and we can try to meet up at the show. I have seen Mark three times before this and have yet to meet up with any board members. to say I am stoked would be a considerable understatement. even a crying 5-year old cannot dampen my spirit.

well after only about 2 hrs of sleep I am up. First off let me say that the sound for the show was superb. Just loud enough. Everything was clear and audible. Mark sang his ass off. About the only downer was the guitars on One Way street where he was playing some kind of Jazzmaster/Jaguar type of Fender was not up to the par of the rest of the songs on the set list. The setlist I believe was the same as Toronto. For the first 5 ish songs there was a couple standing in front of us and the really needed a room. They were dancing around clutching each other and making out like it was prom. Finally after either Wedding Dress or One way street they decided to move which brought some cat calls and looks from everyone around. The crowd was great. There was nothing lacking. Since I am only on like 2 hrs of sleep I will be adding on if anything else comes to mind. Got all of the merchandise that was asked for. Nothing signed because it looked like a madhouse and I still only got home after 4:00 AM my time.

Wait they did play Wish You Well to open the encore as well I believe.
I have played in bands and pay close attention to the bands sound and mix. Whomever was doing the sound did an amazing job. I think it was a great mix and level. Perfect. Marks almost twitching like he was pulling himself out of a trance or something at the end of most songs was amazing and had not seen before. They played just short of 1 hr and 40 minutes. Mark did not pause to take a drink or step away from the mic for even a moment. I would have been completely parched after a few songs. I don't know if it was sold out but the venue was pretty full. there was a night cubs game so the streets were littered with drunk stumbling people.

I havent had much internet access, and am currently on day eleven of a long concert trek and dont really use my phone (battery drain), wish I wouldve been able to meet you! Did meet another onewhiskey forum memeber, russ. Didnt think the sound was mixed so well. Ive seen a series of shows at that venue, hardcore loud industrial shows, standind in the same spot, and their sound was clearer than last night :/ it was still a great perfromanxe.by mark and his band. I have the set, the schedule list, etc and will scan when I grt the chance, probably early june

I was right in front of Mark about 5-10 feet back and the entire show was to me more clear than most shows I have gone to. The first opening was way louder and less clear but I think that had much to do with stage volume of their 100 watt guitar amps. the only show that I have seen that was clearer was the IC ML show but their overall volume was considerably lower.

I just got back from seeing both the Chicago and the Minneapolis shows. Both great performances from Mark. I thought the Minneapolis show sounded clearer than the Chicago one, but he seemed to be more into it at the Chicago show. At the Chicago show, like you said, he sang his ass off. He was really getting into it with his mike. The setlist was the same for both shows except the first encore song, in Chicago it was "Wish You Well" and in Minneapolis it was "When Your Number Isn't Up". At both shows during "Riot In My House" he sang the line, "And realize that I'm slowly coming down with you" way slower than on the album and it made that already awesome song even more awesome, I almost wish they did that on the album too. In Minneapolis during "Tiny Grain of Truth" he changed "and blood is blood is blood now" to "and dust is dust is dust now", which I don't think he did in Chicago. I saw him sneak into the side of the Metro while standing in line in Chicago after he came from across the street, it looked like he might have had a Cubs hat on, so he must have been trying to blend in. He seemed to be in a good mood at both shows, he laughed after a guy in Minneapolis yelled, "Thank you for coming to Minneapolis!" Both shows were great though, glad I was able to catch both.

The Chicago show was amazing. I was behind a group of three drunk dudes who were chatting their asses off when Mark started. To the great guy next to me who wanted to make out during Hospital, I wish I would have gotten your name because now that song will always remind me of you. We were 10th in line to get stuff signed after the show, but my friend felt a little sick and we left. Still loved hearing Mark sing some of my favorites and being in the same room with him. As for the setlist, it was the same as Toronto?

What a line. Harborview Hospital. Quite the make-out song. I am sure it was your effect on him as well as the song. Wish I had told one of my friends that lives in the cities to go to that show.

It is too bad. We were probably not more than a couple of feet from each other. I don't remember seeing you though.
