A 10" with Duke Garwood, Cold Molly, is also on the RSD13 list alongside the Moby 7" (yeah, more than two if you include the Mad Season thing... and the Tim Hardin US release...)

The one with Duke is a nice surprise! (and you know you have good, loyal friends when within the hour after de list was released, you already received lots of messages on Facebook, e-mail and texts to make sure you know about this releases and won't miss out ... Or you just talk too much about the man haha)

Yep...but not released in the USA, so we gotta find one of our UK or Euro friends to pick us up a copy...otherwise, this will cost a bunch on Ebay!

More info from Heavenly:
10” — Mark Lanegan and Duke Garwood ‘Cold Molly’
After their album preview track ‘Pentecostal’ clocked up over 25,000 YouTube hits in little more than two weeks, Mark Lanegan and Duke Garwood release the first single to be taken from ‘Black Pudding’ (out 13th May) exclusively for Record Store Day. ‘Cold Molly’ is limited to 300 10” pressings and features additional remixes from Soulsavers (their first in 10 years) and Roman Remains (a new project by talismanic singer Liela Moss and guitarist Toby Butler of the The Duke Spirit), the latter of which includes backing vocals from Liela.

Not sure that this has been posted yet, but Alain Johannes (I am guessing the same dude that produced Blues Funeral and mixed Black Pudding) has a 7 inch release on RSD Belguim. Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds right... www.recordstoreday.be/index.php?id=rsd-exclusives

Yup, it's the same guy (see also: Sound City, Queens of the Stone Age etc - his solo album is also amazing). Seems to be ultra-limited as well, only seen 1 UK store carrying it so far.

Heavenly posted a picture of their releases on Facebook (I somehow can't share or attach it here). They're handstamped and the blue one must be the Mark & Duke as it is a 10".
My record store will have three of these, so I hope I will be able to get my paws on one of them!

Got the Moby 7" from one shop but couldn't find the Mark and Duke one, so had to queue for another shop, and luckily got their last copy.

Got the Duke one, Moby sold out just as I'd got to he front of the queue - that one's on sale digitally next week, so if I can't source one by next weekend it's not like I lose out

Got all of the Mark related releases. The one with Duke is not handstamped, but in a generic white sleeve. Also the labels on the vinyl are not printed. Are everyone's like that?

There were 3 Heavenly releases, should all be handstamped with the "Heavenly... Believe in Magic" - 3 sizes, 3 ink colours (Red 7" - Stealing Sheep, Blue 10" - Duke/Mark, Black 12" - Toy), with a little sticker on the back saying what it is. At a guess the cheeky sods wanted everyone to buy all 3 as a set. The 10" I have is stamped (blue again) on one label, white on the other. It's possible that one or two were missed by the stampers (it happens when you have 900+ to do in an evening), or maybe - as none of the discs are numbered anyway - a few more got squeaked out.

I did see three copies; all in generic white sleeves with only a sticker. Maybe they run out of time? Handstamping must be a time consuming job?

Probably One of the drawbacks of RSD is that almost everybody wants vinyl pressed in February & March, and as there's so few places left that do this and so many different records to do (about 750 different releases this year) there's a bit of a backlog. There were a lot of non-arrivals today, plus some general weirdness: the Soundgarden 10" should have been on pink vinyl as with the US version, but there were last-minute production issues; black vinyl versions arrived just before lunchtime today. If either the records or the sleeves arrived late (and these were late announcements), then they might have just thrown the last batch out unmarked.

Of course neither of these releases made it to Australia so I've had to pay over the odds for copies on eBay. Not exactly in the spirit of things but what are you supposed to do?
Here's an idea for future RSDs - take preorders for a limited period earlier in the year then manufacture enough to satisfy everyone. The only catch would be that you have to go and pick up the records from your local store thus getting you through the doors which is ultimately the aim of this whole event.

As a heads-up: This week will have some stores returning unsold stock to distributors (markup on RSD stuff is generally quite small as the stores get ripped off also), with that getting redistributed - 9am on Saturday is when this unsold stuff is allowed to be sold online (again, still 1 per customer). The Mark/Duke thing didn't sell out at Piccadilly, so they'll have a few plus any more that they can source this week, and these'll be sold at cost. Many stores will still have stuff in stock and on shelves for people to pop in and buy without having to queue for the privilege (PR is open today and doing a brisk trade by all accounts). I missed RSD last year as there was only the one thing that I wanted (etched Longest Day) - eBay during the week after had them going for £70, I got mine for £5 the week after from the shop. It's worth hanging on a bit, and I'll post details of stores who still have either of these for sale as soon as they announce them - if other people do the same, then hopefully we can all get copies to everyone who wants them. Not as yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if it appears soon - the Moby one hasn't been announced further than a @marklanegan tweet last week (they're not supposed to be mentioned until after the event), so it's certainly possible - and if something's popular in tiny quantities on RSD, then the label'll want to make a bit of money from it

No luck securing either of these releases yesterday. If anyone has a line on the Moby split please let me know. Thanks
