I cannot believe this is happening: My two favourite musicians in one concert!
Shawn Smith (known for Brad, Pigeonhed and solo) will be opening the Seattle gig of Mr. Lanegan at the Showbox in Seattle, July 3rd.
I wish wish wish I could be there. If you have a chance PLEASE do yourself a favour and go to this concert!

This is awesome. I'd so love for Shawn to support Mark on one of his Europe tours.

I showed up during Phantasmagoria, hello 21+ shows are supposed to start at 10:30pm not be over. Needless to say, this show wasn't exactly worth the $60 this time out so Phantasmagoria Can't catch the Train Mack Twice Autumn Wolf 100 Days Jesus Program Reach for the Stars (Ella) Bombed Wild Flowers Halo and wouldn't be surprised if the first part of the show was exactly the same as Meltdown> Judgement/Cherry Tree/One Way/Forget me/Twain/Gravediggers Grumps prolly recorded it, I saw her and the other OW ladies at the front after the show, merch was completely sold out by the time we got to Mark at the signing plus our phone died just then too so no selfie with him either. So we just chatted him up for 30 secs and were out the door before 11pm. On the plus side he was in much better mood at signing than last year. Final thoughts, probably won't hit another Mark "solo" show again until he changes it up a bit - 3x in a row the same songs and same encore give or take 2 songs ..

Grumps prolly recorded it, I saw her and the other OW ladies at the front after the show, Heeheehee, YEAP! Just give me a day or two to get it up on Dime, then Dropbox or wherever for non-Dimers. No one else mentioned the second guitarist? Darn it, cuz I could not understand his name. Anyway, he played rhythm guitar (both acoustic and electric) and bass, Jeff played both acoustic and electric. it was really nice how two guitarists rounded out the sound. Setlist (I'm not bothering to post the super blurry photo on my phone) : Judgement Time Cherry Tree Carol One Way Street Don't Forget Me Where the Twain Shall Meet Gravedigger's Song Phantasmagoria Blues Can't Catch the Train Mack the Knife You Only Live Twice Autumn Leaves I am the Wolf One Hundred Days On Jesus' Program Reaching For the Moon (technically, an Irving Berlin number) Bombed Wildflowers Halo of Ashes

The second guitarist was Johnny Sangster. He plays in a band called the Tripwires, and with Mark Pickerel and His Praying Hands, among others. He's better known as a producer; he has worked with a bunch of local artists, most notably Mudhoney.
