Not to be negative, but again nothing "new".

Can you elaborate on why you are displeased with the post?

I think he means no new songs - v similar set list to the last tour. Not personal!
You'd think with a now rather large back catalogue, a bit of variation would spice it up for the band, the singer and the punter. I like the Electric Ballroom, so still looking forwards to Tuesday.

I think the issue is that Mark is such a perfectionist. He doesn't want to go out there and perform a song unless it's going to be perfect. That's the only explanation for why he plays it safe on the road. If he was as experimental during his tours as he is in the studio and with collaborations, I think he'd have a larger, more rabid fan-base.

I dunno, I'd suggest that performing live someone else's remix of one of his own songs is a bit more experimental than most artists muster, as is the general tone and content of the set. I'd imagine that as a large portion of his fanbase doesn't go to multiple shows or know his setlists, these shows will be quite an eye-opener for many/most. It's not a huge surprise that there are no huge surprises for us, given that these are a bunch of low-key dates largely in places that he hasn't done already on this tour fitted around a bunch of showcase festival slots. Stuff might chop and change as the tour goes on (as they usually do), but as this is a continuation of his existing tour it's no real biggie that the usual "short notice, short rehearsal time, bandmates on a different continent working with different bands" reasons apply to a set of shows put together with the sole purpose of being seen by people who probably haven't seen him for a year or two

Really enjoyed the gig. Black Rose Way was amazing and I don't believe I've seen him do it live before. Saw Jeff out side before the gig but didn't realize it was him until I'd walked past him.

Can you elaborate on why you are displeased with the post? As mentioned above, I didn't mean your post

Thanks buddy.
I heard that the gig in Liverpool included a Joy Division cover of 'Atmosphere'.
I would have liked to have heard that.

Atmosphere was on the setlist for London too, but wasn't played there.

We got Atmosphere from Joy Division yesterday in Hannover, too. No Creeping Coatsline of Lights... Otherwise similar to the above setlist.
