I felt really cynical mainly rooted in personal opinions with no basis on the quality of the book I have to say it's nice to have the lyrics collected in something that looks nice for that price. I mean that Lanegan bobble head cost me about the same.

I find the book a handy reference guide for checking lyrics, dates, etc. Surprised to find no mention of the Gutter Twins record, "Saturnalia". Songs such as "Idle Hands", "The Stations", and "Seven Stories" all seem more substantial and worthy of discussion than say the Soul Stirrers material. Did Mark write any of this or was it all Greg Dulli compositions? Just curious as it seems kind of a glaring omission to me. Glad the Duke Garwood album is included though cause that's another favorite of mine.

Most of the songs on Saturnalia, including the 3 you mention -"Idle Hands", "The Stations", and "Seven Stories"- are listed in the liner notes as Dulli/ Lanegan. In this video interview, Lanegan talks about the then still-in-process Gutter Twins album at 6:15 and says around 7:40 they were writing songs for the album together www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZJbfgwBq6c
