I am sure others have seen this but it was the first I heard of it. Looks like a great soundtrack. Todd Haynes is a wonderful director and screenwriter. I am intrigued. goldenfiddle.com/node/8370

Soundtrack has an odd mix of artists, but should be really good.

October 30 through Sony. The film is hits the Venice and Toronto festivals next month, and is released in the US on November 21 as a very limited release. European dates are very widely-spaced (probably because hardly any prints are being distributed), with Germany getting it on Jan 10 and Dutchyland finally getting hold of it on March 13. No UK release date has been mentioned yet.

Cate Blanchett yesterday won the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival for her role as one of the many Bobs in the film (the others being Richard Gere, Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Ben Whishaw and Marcus Carl Franklin), and is being strongly-tipped to pick up an Oscar. As far as Lanegan's concerned, it's a bit of a step up from Phil the Alien

www.imnotthere.info/Apparently, Lanegan will be appearing at a Bob Dylan tribute concert to help promote the film on November 7 in New York. Before you run out and buy tickets, be warned: they're really fucking expensive.

I actually laughed at those ticket prices.

t00l tickets were going for prices like that (not the dumb VIP ones, the ones for us mortals)

Normal tickets aren't so bad - US$52 isn't exactly peanuts, but there are far more expensive and much worse acts peddling their wares over here for more than that. You'll just have to take your own sandwiches and an obnoxious partner to recreate that proper VIP experience...

Just got round to getting this. (Late xams present). Only listened to side 1 and a few off side 2 and I've got to say mark's is the clear winner so far. There's 2 others that stand out and are in the running (cant think of top of my head) but mark's got the lead so far.
