Oh Yeah........
Another reason to live in Los Angeles motherfuckers.
Formed primarily to throw house parties in their hometown while they work on their respective individual projects, Uptown Lights revisits the days of dressing uptown and throwing downtown. Armed with a setlist featuring the songs of their heroes, like O.V. Wright, Joe Tex, the Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding and many, many more, this show is not to be missed...
The lineup is as follows: Greg Dulli/Vocals, Scott Ford/Bass, Mathias Schneeberger/Keys, Jon Skibic/Guitar, and Brian Young/Drums. The band'll play their first show on February 19th at Spaceland in Silverlake, CA.
The band has a myspace page. The band answers some of the questions that inquiring minds want to know such as whether there'll be a tour(response: probably not but possibly some sporadic shows), or whether there will be any live recordings(response: to quote them, "You bet your ass there will be").

Some questions answered...
OK people, so we got a lot of emails asking the same questions, so here's the answers right from the source.
Will there be a tour?
Probably not. At least not until some kind soul ponies up the dough that a tour like this would cost. It sure would be fun though wouldn't it?
If there's no tour, what about a sporadic show in New York/Philly/Texas/insert your state here?
We would like to come play some of our old haunts, and some new ones too. We aren't saying no, but we are saying not yet.
Will there be any live recordings?
You bet your ass there will be. We’ll be putting a few select MP3’s up here from time to time, and the chances of a live album and DVD are not too bad either. However, this is most definitely a LIVE band, so if you can get to a show, we advise you to do so.
What songs will you be playing?
There will be no tipping of the hat here, you are going to have to show up to find out. Safe to say they will all be covers, and if you’ve ever seen us do covers before (that means all of you who have ever seen the Twilight Singers), then you know it’s going to be a good time.
Have the 5 band members all played together before?
This is the exact band that recorded Black is the Color and Papillon amongst many other songs.
How can I help spread the word?
Help us help you by telling your friends to come sign up on our MySpace page. We need a street team to get this thing off the ground, and that’s where you come in. The more interest we get, the more shows we can do, and the more cities we can hit. Write an email to your favorite music sites, bombard Rolling Stone with the love, help us get the word out to our brothers and sisters.
People, it’s time to get down
