the pogues and the dubliners are the best bands to go see paddies day, mcgowan always plays a christmas gig in dublin too, thats the most drunken time you'll spend sober ;D

My 5 year-old niece loves The Pogues. And The Clash. I'd feel that I've done my Godfatherly bit quite well, if it wasn't for her love of Busted. Ah well, better them than Westlife.
When she's 6, it's Minor Threat all the way.

..........I think in a drinking contest, the Dubliners would beat The Pogues hands down, unless Shane McGowan was leading The Pogues my brother once when to see the dubliners and ronny drew came out, said something and stopped really suddenly and said "excuse me for a moment" put his head down beside the mircophone and threw his guts up, then straightened up, fixed his shirt and started the gig!!!! now thats professionalism

fuck yeah!!!!! i wish someone made me listen to Minor Threat when i was 6. i was stuck with Buddy Holly....which is cool, but let's face it....it's not Minor Threat!!!!
