......I've just been forced to sit through the Arsenal vs Sheffield United match, is there anything more painful then sitting through penalty shoot outs? sitting on a drawing pin through penalty shoot outs.

ahem.....i must disagree....Shaun of the Dead is the best film ever made by humans. you must've seen some other movie like Taxi...or something else. you must watch it again....and give it a chance. i can't believe it got snubbed by the Oscars. i don't mean to exacerbate things....all i'm saying is Shaun of the Dead can save the entire Earth with its awesomeness...yo. c'mon!!! Wow...no. I did end up watching it twice yesterday b/c my lil' bro' wanted to see it. I thought it was stupid, oh well.

sitting on a drawing pin through penalty shoot outs. ..........no, sorry, the match was pretty boring, I think most parts were so numb I was completely impervious to pain by the time it was all over

yo. stop talking about sports. they're lame. .....maybe, but if you ever have insomnia, try getting a man to explain the offside rule in soccer to you, it's works so much better then watching exercise videos

do like hockey and call it a tie ahh, my fair foreign friend, i will explain... it was a cup game, so someone had to go through... but, in league games, draws/ties happen very often - the reason you dont know this is because for the US 'soccer' league, the fundamental rules of football were changed because it was feared that americans wouldnt be able to cope with the idea of a game being 'tied'. they honestly think you're THAT stupid. still, a nation which burns beatles records... hmm. they believe your brains cant cope with such things. it's like when we made a film/movie over here called The Madness of King George. It was going to be called the Madness of King George III (the Third)... but it was believed that americans would say 'well, jeez, i dun didnt see myself the first two o' dem movieeeeeeees, so i ain't gon' watch that one, Cletus. now fetch me mah gun, i got me sum racial minorities to kill' back to the point... another idea they considered for the US soccer league was - a shot from outside the area is worth 7billion points, while a goal from inside the area would be worth 10million points... because, apparently, you NEED to see high numbers in the score to make it seem worthwhile. (take it with a pinch of salt, it's early in the morning and im tired)

you mean we PLAY soccer here ? I did not think we had enough mullets per city to actually form teams....this is crazy ! We must recruit them from overseas well playoff hockey keeps playing what we call overtime until someone finally scores or drops dead which ever comes first. They did dabble with shootouts at one time, but I would rather see a swift match of rock, paper, scissors or maybe flip a coin than a shootout.

'not enough mullets per city'... haha. i always like foreign perspectives on things, it's interesting. in football, in cup games, we have 30 minutes of 'overtime' (it's called extra-time over here), and if it's still a draw at the end of that (bearing in mind a match is 90mins, plus 30mins extra-time on top of that = 2hrs) then it goes to penalties... 5 kicks each, if it's still tied, it carries on into sudden death... (which inevitably results in England losing) as i said before, i think penalties is a fair way to settle it - it's a skill of the game, it's a part of the game, and it takes mental strength to go up there and do it and be confident of what you are doing in front of a TV audience of millions and a crowd of thousands... 'playing til you drop' basically becomes a test of physical fitness/stamina. (i haven't bothered to complicate this with silver goals, golden goals or... the offside rule.)
