I'm so sick of people. When I told my "friend" that the QOTSA show we have tix to is now sold out she replied "Oh great, that means I'll have people's sweat all over me..."  Instead of bitching about something stupid she could've said "Thankyou for getting me a ticket to a sold out gig." or something. I'd rather go with any of you, she's an ungrateful cunt. I need to find more people to hang out with. |

What doesn't make sense? The images or what she said? I don't care if it's crowded. Sweat is sex.
I'm going to be focused on the band anyway. She has a way of putting a damper on just about everything.
That new Garbage song "Why Do You Love Me?" is complete rubbish. You'd think that after all this time they've been gone, they might actually come back with something decent.

"Oh great, that means I'll have people's sweat all over me..." .....I suppose it doesn't make sense to me really, I've been to gigs where it's really fucking hot, yes people are sweating & the walls are dripping with condensation but I never actually had someone sweat all over me Does she intend rubbing up against people? Does she expect the crowd to be hosed down with pre-prepared sweat.........? ....I have a friend like that, she's never come out with a remark like that but she's really good at metaphorically kicking me in the guts at the worst possible moment |

Yeah, people will get really sweaty from dancing, the heat etc. and since the venue is gonna be packed, more than likely everyone will be bunched together causing sweat to get on her. What she said is stupid anyway and she should just be lucky she's going.

Personally, I've just been swimmng through the mud here.
small weather lesson for Southern California:
-33.85 inches of rain so far.
-It is officially the 2nd wettest year on record.
-First place is 1877-1878 but we have 4 1/2 months to go for it to count as part of this season.
-normal year = 9-11 inches of rain
-my bedroom ceiling fell down at 4am last week

What she said is stupid anyway and she should just be lucky she's going. *sigh* "friends..." sold out shows are always better!! there's a kind of exclusivity to the whole thing (walking by the ticketless souls on the way in with a patronising sneer = fun). and bands always seem to play better when they know they're really in demand... but sweat is bad, i can see the problem. i find being short and slight i'll always get sweat transfer and an elbow to the head/back of neck/eye. i was once at a show that had a mobile water vapour dude which was cool, but i got hit in the face by the water vapour backpack, so you can't fucking win. |
