I just want to say a thought that runs through my head once a while, mostly when I'm listening to Mark's music: Mark Lanegan, what a beautiful character..

we have started to think about a logo after an intentive day of work . Then after a kinda brainstorming of ideas I've started a logo .... Finishing in lots of laughs.... after Lunsey has taken the pen and finished the drawing ... Gotta take a pic of the logo .... Now I'm giggling looking at the result !!!!

I have a CD sat here with new songs from Mark Lanegan and the Afghan Whigs on it, and there's no compulsion for me to play it, even for the first time.

*sigh*
Something probably needs to be said here. Lorène Lenoir, who posted here infrequently as Lorelei but who contributed a large amount to Onewhiskey as a whole through her photography (whether credited or otherwise), decided that enough was enough and took her own life last week. There are quite a few people here who knew her much better than I did, I and they have both my sympathy at this terrible news, and also my own sadness at her passing. I only really came into contact with her through a mutual friend when I was asked to help come up with a couple of questions for an interview she was doing with Mark for New Noise just before Blues Funeral came out; I only saw her the once at a Lanegan gig in London where everyone was passing everyone else at the end and I never got the chance to say hello and introduce myself. I wish I'd made more of an effort that evening. I hope she found peace, and that the friends she leaves behind, both here and elsewhere are left with the best memories of someone a lot of people loved.

Thank you dear Silence for these kind thoughts and sweet words for her. She had lots of friends here ! And there, and everywhere she went All this reminds me of the 19th of february 2008 : The first time Lorène and I met and talked together was at this Gutter Twins gig, in paris in February 2008 (one of her pic hereunder). A new friendship was born And... The day after, I decided to login here

She has contributed to many interviews , and photos, and informations too, regarding Mark. I think one of her last interview was The Afghan Whigs in Paris few weeks ago with bibi... *sigh*
I hope her Artwork will be kept on Flickr, because everyone should see her pictures. www.flickr.com/photos/evillorelei/sets/ She was great, brilliant. Funtastic. Yes a BADASS ...
(edit: and now i am crying)

Talking to a record label buddy about pressing vinyl, didn't realise just how scarce pressing plants actually are...
...and the only Direct Metal Mastering record-cutting lathe in existence in North America (only 7 remain in Europe) is privately owned by the Church of Scientology.
