the original line up are back together and will play at this year's download festival.
DINOSAUR NOT EXTINCT!
DINOSAUR JR will stage their reunion at this year’s DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL.
The seminal college rock band, whose influence can be seen today in bands like Nine Black Alps and Biffy Clyro, have reformed in their original line up of J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph for the first time since 1989.
They will play the only UK show on their reunion on the inaugural ‘indie day’ of the metal festival, taking place on Friday 10 June, and headlined by Feeder.
And as one legendary band get back together, the same stage will also see the last-ever show from Megadeth, who are parting company after 22 years.
Completing the main stage line-up are Biffy Clyro and a returning JJ72.
My Chemical Romance and The Used are additions to the Billy Idol-headlined Snickers Stage.
Download 2005 takes place from June 10-12 at Donington Park. Stay tuned for further line-up announcements.

that is huge.
i hope they play in los angeles, although they should because lou barlow typically plays every night here in one incarnation or another.
and here's two dino memories for ya...
i saw nirvana for the first time when they opened for dino jr. at the palace, maybe 90 or 91 or some shit.
i saw dino open for janes addiction, but without lou barlow. van conner sat in on bass.
