It would have been funny to see Mark standing by the side of a road holding up a sign reading, "Guitarist wanted. Cheap beer and floozies as incentive."

Floozies boyfriends can be a funny bunch .......what kind of questions do you think they ask at these interviews for musicians?

No Shelley on stage last night at Brighton. On my way to Birmingham in a min So last night's Brighton gig did go ahead, despite the cancellation of the Paris show the night before. Hope tonight's in Birmingham goes ahead. Last year I had to leave before the encore, and stay sober so I could drive 3 hours to an airport... I'm hoping to make up for it this time!

No Shelley on stage last night at Brighton. On my way to Birmingham in a min ....have fun, I would add don't do anything I wouldn't do but you won't be able to drink 8 Bacardi Breezers & struggle to find the bus home ....nice t-shirt by the way, does it say anything rude?

Can't drink - as with London, I'm driving there, seeing the gig & driving back home again. Going to be swazzed at the Manchester show tough T-Shirt is from a Japanese store sign and just says "Nobody under the age of 20 may purchase tobacco or alcohol". I just like the dancing pint/ciggie combo. I have another one that I may wear in London, and that one is rudey.

I'd been really looking forward to hearing Strange Religion, but it's looking pretty unlikely now. And what other people had been saying about her during earlier parts of the tour are still apparent - she was completely inaudible during Hit the City and not much louder doing Come to Me...

...........hmmmmmmmmmmmm, so how was Nick? Did he behave himself? I really enjoy him when he does his solo stuff, he just seems to be having such a good time

Solo set was fun - did a couple of other QOTSA songs in addition to Autopilot, and his cover of Johnny Thunders' "You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory" was fantastic. With the band, he did a great (if subdued - although that's fair enough given that he's only been playing these songs for a short time) job of filling in.

Blokes don't do 'observation'!!
Nick was very subdued at Birmingham as well, maybe he can see shit happening that we don't know about!
