i see a fuckload of shitty bands creating crimes against nature on Leno, Letterman, O'Brien...etc....why the flying fuck hasn't Mark been on any of these shows? eh? EH?! well, not Leno....that big-chined schlub would never put anyone like Mark on his show. i was just thinking...they put a lot of promotion into Bubblegum....yet i can't see the sexy, muscular, chain-smoking woman known as Mark Lanegan anywhere on my fucking TV. what the fuck?!

I've also wondered why Mark hasn't appeared on such shows. The U.K. has a show called "Later...with Jools Holland", and he's had everyone from Calexico, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Desert Sessions, Nick Cave etc. On the most recent run of the show I was really hoping MLB would appear, but the show was off-air during the second leg of the European tour so, meh.
This show would be fantastic for MLB, fuck it's starting to piss me off again now.
T.
Screaming Trees, Alice in Chains, Afghan Whigs and Johnny Cash have also appeared.

Would have been top to have seen him on "Later...", and I'd be surprised if they weren't asked, but I think timing issues would have put the mockers on that one... Good in a way though, as there's nothing worse than bands cancelling shows for telly appearances - I remember going to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers - with Rollins Band supporting - in Manchester back in about 91/92, only for it to be cancelled due to "the headliners being ill"... Imagine my surprise when I got home, turned on the TV and there they were playing live on Top of the Pops Fuckers.

When the Trees were on Letterman (early 1990s?), Mark had a black eye (apparently from brawling with Barrett) and then when they came back on at the end of the show they had a food fight (Gary Lee got a pie or a pumpkin in his face, courtesy of Mark.) So I think Mark may be banned for life from late night t.v.!

the reason being that mark is the worst guest ever, he answers with yes or no's and when he does you can barely hear him because he's growling, if he came out with a rainbow cape on, and on a unicycle he might get more invites, but if he did, would you really like him anymore?

This is why Mark can never again be interviewed. Therefore, he should forever be eye candy. I want him to do the "Later..." show wearing a banana boat and doing soft-shoe. God that would SO get me off. And I'd watch while eating turkey bacon.

i watch Conan O'Brien.....cause it's funny....and they usually have great bands on. i'd fucking watch The View if Mark was playing on it. it's better for him to be playing on some lame show that i can actually see than not.....considering his limited touring. (besides England of course)
so c'mon!!!!

theres this programme on irish tv called "other voices: songs a room" which is basically an programme for alternative song writer music fully of unheard of bands and songwriters and some famous ones too!!my brothers friend is drummer and he was at it the day after the lanegan gig in dublin (marks day off) and he said he saw mark doing a bit of a session for the show!!! i dunno if this is true or if they'll show it on the new series soon but fingers crossed www.rte.ie/tv/othervoices/theres about 3 to 4 bands on in each episode so they've made another 10 episodes so fingers crossed mark will be on it

Yes, some of us would. Now that Mark is gaining in popularity, he needs a personal assistant and I'd like an application for that position.
