...or are you like me, wondering how it would be possible for there to be 2 presales and a regular onsale at which no tickets were available 2 seconds after they went online?
What is the point of all this presale shit anyhow? Why aren't tickets just available to people who like the band, all at the same time, regardless of whether you belong to a club and know a secret handshake?
Oh - I forgot. It's so any high speed buggers who got in in the first second can buy the entire ticket limit, and sell them at ridiculous prices on Ebay. And poor saps who just wanted to see the show will support and encourage these folks by buying them, thus ensuring that they will do the same thing the next time tickets go on sale.
Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?

Yeah. I don't like presales at all (unless I happen to be in on it. , by the time they go on sale to the public, the good tix are gone. I'd still just end up lookin' on Ebay, but I wouldn't pay a ridiculous amount for one band. Luckily I got mine already from Ticketbastard. There weren't any presales for Detroit...at least I don't think so. Must be a venue thing.

Raeni...I bet its an industry show that happens all the time here, esp when its a smaller venue and its a hot band.
And NO, I was not able to get tix. I cannot tell you how frustrated I am. I have seen every single show they've done here in the past 5 years.
As far as the presales go (sorry if this was read in another thread) when I clicked on the email there was NO info, the day AFTER the presale, I went back to check and all the info was up.
Torture.

Raeni...I bet its an industry I was wondering about that, since other cities didn't seem to sell out so ridiculously fast. I've seen them play at LEAST once on every tour they've done since the first album - and I actually saw them the last two times they played in LA, and while I know they've gotten very popular, it just didn't seem like everything sold out within seconds. Just makes me wonder why they'd announce something like that as a show at all - if you're going to have most of the tickets go to industry, just play a show for them and forget it. Maybe add a second show where regular people can get in to see it, if you're so inclined. It all just seems so silly. And frustrating.

Maybe add a second show where regular people can get in to see it That is what I am hoping for. And Flutter...it means that all the people in the music industry nab all the tickets to the show.

;D Are you confirming what the operator at ticketbastard gave me hope of? When I asked if any dates would be added she replied, "Not at this time, but there are open dates around that show for that venue."
