Not quite as exciting as it sounds, but in a similar vein to the mixtape thread....
I'm putting together a Lanegan show for a friends internet radio show. It'll be around an hour long, including my links between songs. I've narrowed my selection down to a running time of one hour and fourteen minutes. It's bloody hard losing stuff boy I'll tell ya. Here's what I got, and anything you think I should lose would be a help, thanks. Also I'd be interested in what you all think of the tracklist. All personal favourites but one or two could possibly be substituted :
Intro : The River Rise Barriers Night Comes Creeping Where Did You Sleep Last Night? Story Of Her Fate Nearly Lost You Pendulum Dying Days Hotel In The Fade No Easy Action Low Skeletal History One Hundred Days Who Built The Road Live With Me Some Misunderstanding Bete Noire *secret song (not really a secret)*
Thanks!

agreed on wheels (aww.. one of my faves ) and i would also add creeping coastline, and on jesus program... and one more thing. don't take this the wrong way, but i feel is a little cliche to start the show with the river rise... i mean it's a beautiful song and all, but there's so many others that would make for a powerful opening.

my suggestion for opening the show would be no easy action, pendulum, or hospital roll call.

I actually had to open a bottle of wine and play it right now (well...... i was gonna open the wine regardless). perfect drink and soundtrack to drown, the bitches, and the ghetto birds floating outside the window.. oh this city of angels.

Hell yeah, indeed one of my all time fav Lanegan songs. This even sounds a bit fruity but I always pictured it as a great wedding song...like the first slow dance. I've always seen it as someone who's traveled a long, arduous journey to finally find peace (or some kind of serenity) in the end. That's my take anyway... Also, I agree that Pendulum would be a superb opener....another one of my favs

I think Methamphetamine Blues would be a better, louder, more ballsy opener. Especially given all the quieter moments that will follow.

as i see it everyone has a different taste and thats very welcome. i only think 'when your number isn't up' would be very necessary for me (personal taste) BUT 'no easy action' not followed by 'miracle' is a pure crime and should be prosecuted
