My nickname is really Trum which has a LONG story attached to it...but shebangsthetrums is of course a reference to a Stone Roses song given to me by the singer/guitarist from Even (great Australian band) whilst getting something signed

Great story. But I'm still curious.....where did "Trum" come from? here goes.... Back in the day the only way to get the records I wanted was to get them from an import shop. When a certain record didnt come in as promised, i threw a bit of a tanty so my friends at the shop christened me Tantrum O'neill. Over the years this generated many a variation...Miss O'neill, Tantronium, Oliver Trumwell, Trumbelina, Trummington, Trumbo, Trummy, and a misheard version Frump but for years I have been known to a certain circle as Trum - if they say my real name it just seems odd. I also have another nickname that I answer to as well so hardly anyone calls me my real name but that's another tale to tell

My sons each have a bunch. They are hardly ever called their given names. I clung to Jerry Cantrell's "Solitude" at a black and desperate time in my life. I love the word and concept. I have social anxiety, even though I am VERY close to my sons and feel I have good social skills with my friends, students/ parents, and colleagues; part of me always craves peace and solitude. So I disappear into music....often Mark's.

I and my Cow are merely realizing our destiny. I am a Queene, and he is a burlesque star of the 1880's. Attachments:

Why, thank you, deer. You may approach and kiss my ring (it's a mood ring, don't mind the strange unidentifiable color).

If I could remember the reason why I picked this name years ago, I'd share.

The ants go marching one by one hurrah, hurrah the ants go marching one by one hurrah, hurrah the ants go marching one by one the little one stopped to suck his thumb and they all go marching on into the ground out of the rain
The ants go marching two by two hurrah, hurrah the ants go marching two by two hurrah, hurrah, the ants go marching two by two the little one stopped to tie his shoe and they all go marching on into the ground out of the rain
etc.

Song time? COOL!!!
There'll be no strings to bind your hands not if my love can't bind your heart. And there's no need to take a stand for it was I who chose to start. I see no need to take me home, I'm old enough to face the dawn.
Just call me Grumpella of the morning grumpy just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby. Just call me Grumpella of the morning grumpy then slowly turn away from me.
Maybe the sun's light will be dim and it won't matter anyhow. If morning's echo says we've sinned, well, it was what I wanted now. And if we're the victims of the night, I won't be blinded by light.
Just call me Grumpella of the morning grumpy just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby. Just call me Grumpella of the morning grumpy then slowly turn away, I won't beg you to stay with me through the tears of the day, of the years, baby baby baby. Just call me Grumpella of the morning grumpy just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby.
;D
