Video is taken down - what was that? I saw that earlier that day it said live event will begin in four hours ... and the video was called An Evening With Mark Lanegan, then I fell asleep and missed it, did anyone catch this, how was it? a pro-shot video?

It's probably one of those spam "live stream" links. They seem to pop up all the time for gigs all around the world.

It was 'supposed' to start at 4am my time EVEN tho he'd already done the gig the previous nite & when I woke up a few hrs after 4 it was still saying starting in a few seconds!

I missed the Glasgow show but was at Aberdeen last night with my son. Goodness that was a noisy audience. I didn't recognise Holy Ground so I assume it is a new song.
Duke seemed to be stuck in the same song for the whole of his set as the last time I saw him.
I'm going to Islington chapel as well ( hopefully the audience there will shut up)

So far, absolutely no Lanegan video on youtube from this week. At least nothing with Lanegan in the name or description. There might be one of those famous "DSC_0467834.MOV" or similar, though

Glad to hear he's reportedly playing some new material. Hopefully some videos will start to surface soon....

Glad to hear he's reportedly playing some new material. Hopefully some videos will start to surface soon.... It sounded like a new song or a cover I didn't recognise. With the shows being seated and a bit more intimate, I am not sure people are going to record videos as they aren't going to be able to hide themselves from security staff!

Just been chatting to a mate who went to the gig tonite and this is the answer: Holy Ground is an old song from one of Marks' heroes from around 1992 band called Paradise Napalm Beach. Asked him about new album and he said early next year release. So a searching we will go:)

as SheBangsTheTrums has written above the new cover played by Mark should be that: Napalm Beach - Fire Air and Water (1989) link

Mark seems to be missing a bass player at some gigs again. No sign at the Sage, Gateshead on Saturday. Any idea why?

Just went to the second Dublin gig. Someone needs to ask Jeff to turn his guitar down a couple of notches. I'm wouldn't be a fan of his style of playing to begin with but now he's starting to lob in clangy sounds into the mix if he's not playing lead. The loud overbearing playing worked on a couple of songs but the rest of the songs were getting slightly butchered as a result of it. Lanegan's got a once in a generation voice and I'd just like to hear it.

Not that there was no life in them to begin with I just thought his guitar has added something pretty special. Something the 2010 acoustic tour missed.

Jeffs contribution is hard to judge sometimes during both gigs I totally get where you're coming from and other times I adored it. To be honest though with the music that marks been making over the past few albums I think the band set up he has now is the best. Plus I'm old and a seated gig is the way to go for me.
