Interesting. Thanks for posting that. Quick listen - it sounds like an alt mix or and advance tape; less of a demo. I'll have to give it a detailed listen to see if there are any mix difference. I had another listen today and sounds like a combination of rough mixes and some completely different takes (e.g. Kingdoms of Rain). Would love to see more tapes like this surface in case anyone's hoarding any! |

Moved Year Zero - A World With No Flowers (Poems with Wesley Eisold 2022) & Ghost Radio (Poems with Wesley Eisold 2022) to Book I’m still not sure about that Phil the Alien Theme song. Is this really Mark? I couldn’t find anything about any form of release. I'll leave it out of the discography for now until there is some kind of proof that it is really Mark.
Anything else I've forgotten over the past year?

Yeah if anyone is interested here are the specifics of this new demo: River Rise (alt lyrics / partial different vocal take) "The River Rise is a mile high Is this world drowned, is this world drowned" I've seen the river rise She's a mile high Kingdoms (alt lyrics / no Krista Auer backing vocals / fully different vocal take) "And every kingdom of rain should be coming down razorblades" Cos I loved you so long / so hard El Sol (fully different vocal take) **misses high note **longer fade out with more backing vocals Wheels* (rough mix) Riding the Nightingale* (No Krista vocals) Carnival No reprise of "girls are all sad in their eyes / hypnotized" verses Scatting of the "up and over the sea" lyric from the 1991 tape's version of the song over the final third Beggar's Blues* (rough mix) Pendulum* (rough mix) Shooting Gallery (alternate lyrics and fully different vocal take) intro: "When you're gone Long gone You have this song All I know" *= Instrumental takes closest to album version, nothing noticably different vocally |

Does anyone know where to find "Dark Mark Theme B/W Skeleton Joe Manifesto" to buy? I can only see it on Rare Bird's Soundcloud page now, no sign of the vinyl or a download anywhere.
I don't think Dark Mark Theme was on the full length album, and the Soundcloud version of SJM seems to be a much shorter edit
