confusion about the european dates

hi there, i guess there's nothing anyone out there can do to help me except sympathize with me, but let's try.

i'm still figuring out which gig to attend to and since i'm from a distant country called finland i need to fly either to amsterdam, stockholm or oslo. stockholm being the closest city, i'd prefer going there. but of course the matter's not that simple.

you see, i sent an e-mail to MONDO, the venue mark's supposed to perform in stockholm, a couple of weeks ago. they replied to me that they had no idea about mark performing there and suggested that i contacted LUGER, a swedish promotion and concert arrangement agency.

i did that but had no answer until today. this afternoon i sent them a new e-mail and they promptly replied to me in an hour. the answer was somewhat confusing: mark will play in stockholm, but on october the 31st, at a venue called BERNS. the only problem is that according to ROCKEFELLER, the venue he's supposed to play in oslo, MLB is playing in oslo on october the 31st. either of those concerts cannot therefore take place on that day.

of course there is no information about the concert on BERNS' website. i naturally sent my inquiries to BERNS and now i'm waiting for their answer.

this is a bit frustrating but at the same time i'm telling myself all this trouble finding where he finally plays will pay off and the concert will be an even better experience than without having done this research...

anyways, if anyone out there has any idea about the concerts in stockholm and oslo, let me know. otherwise i need to fly to amsterdam, but that's a bit more further away.

Oh, now that's a familiar problem. Or as we say it where I come from -- ollaan samassa veneessä, veliseni.

It seems that Rockefeller has updated their schedule today, Mark is now set to perform there on Oct 30. Obviously the Stockholm and Oslo gigs have changed places.

If you hear from BERNS (WTF is BERNS? I've been to quite a few concerts in Sth but never heard of that venue) I'd like to know the details, hopefully you'll post 'em here soon after!

paradiso is an amazing venue to see a band perform

most bands that play there feel very at ease and a lot of them experiment a lot with their music
it has a relaxed vibe, so my advice would be Amsterdam

hope this confusing situation gets cleared up soon!

If it's anything like the UK tour (with venues/cities changing and half the tour still unconfirmed), the dates are pretty much up in the air right now following his accident (and understandably so). It's probably best to wait a wee while till everything's 100% confirmed.

if tickets are like they are in the states the longer you wait to buy an airline ticket the higher the price goes airlines are a bunch of crooks

okay, now the picture seems much clearer, thanks for the rockefeller update sami! i checked it this morning and the gig was still supposed be on the 31st in oslo.

this berns place seems like pretty good venue as well. for me it's better this way, i just might go to both amsterdam and stockholm. hope the stockholm gig gets confirmed soon.

of course everything depends on mark's condition, but i guess i have to take my chances, since what m0ng0 said about the airline tickets goes for europe as well.

it's in norwegian, but i managed to understand the most important parts. AND it seems to confirm the oslo gig - indeed it's on the 30th, so if there's any logic in this thing, the stockholm gig is on the 31st as mentioned above. let's hope they'll confirm soon the swedish concert as well.

anyways, i got an e-mail from the venue a coupla days ago in which they told me they had no idea of such a concert. but two minutes ago i went to www.ticnet.se to see if they had any info on the concert and guess what, it's on! they're selling tickets and i'll buy mine today.
