Also possibly: Deus - 18/11 Manchester Yes, possibly. Hopefully they will have got rid of their problems (seriously ill guitarist, abandoning bass player, etc...) by then.

what a douche! by the way, it's whack. I believe anyway whack, eh? I'm so far behind it's not funny. i've done some emailing and phone calls today to promoters and ticket resellers – i've decided to continue complaining until i get some kind of explaination or better yet a refund. It's the principle I'm fighting for, dammit! So far it's going ok, I've been informed it all went wrong when the management began demanding more money the morning of the show, and when this wasn't met entirely the show was 'shortened'. At least we had the chance to yell at Busta on his way out, although this meant being nearly killed by a massive bodyguard.

My friend informed me that it sold out. I was just going to buy tickets at the door. Yup. It put a mini-smile on my face. I'll be out of town & couldn't have seen it anyway.

I was thinking about seeing the Melvins, but..
"We are very sorry to say, but due to an illness in the band the Melvins have cancelled all of their scheduled dates for the rest of the year. We are hoping that the shows will be able to be rescheduled in the future and the band sincerely apologizes for any incvonvenience caused by this unforseen circumstance. Knowing the Melvins like we do, we have no doubt that they will return stronger than ever. Thanks for your support and understanding."

Mark Lanegan - 22/11 Birmingham Mark Lanegan - 28/11 Leeds Mark Lanegan - 02/12 London hopefully the confirmation for his date in the People's Democratic Republic of Mancunia will be forthcoming this week... that's just unhealthy... let's not forget - they basically played the same songs, in the same order, every night on the last tour... not that they weren't good, ive just come to the conclusion that it's not the sort of tour you need to follow. just catch a show or two. mark's tours dont evolve and change as much as, say, the twilight singers, because mark is not a 'natural performer' (whatever that is)... so he is less prone to doing unlikely/unusual/unplanned things on stage... just look at the setlists from the last tour, and then compare them to the twilight singers' last tour, which included, amongst many others, a piano version of Roses by Outkast, Layla (instrumental), snippets of Dont Fear The Reaper, drifting a song into Teen Spirit halfway through... etc... pure onstage genius. i just wanna hear the gutter twins, basically. Mr.Dulli and Mr.Lanegan, together... an amazing prospect. i dont really have any forthcoming shows to attend. i'll go and see mark somewhere in the uk, but beyond that, nothing exciting on the horizon. m.

Also they said this, which makes me giddy ;D MELVINS recently teamed up with former DEAD KENNEDYS singer Jello Biafra to record two albums' worth of material, the first, "Never Breathe What You Can't See", coming this month via Biafra's Alternative Tentacles label.

It's more a case of it being an excuse to travel about meeting up and hanging out with friends in an atmosphere of good music than hoping for a unique show at every gig, to be honest.
