your a rock star and supermodel dude, now enjoy the "otherside" of being an international playboy
SFGate.com reports that AUDIOSLAVE frontman Chris Cornell has been forced to install state-of-the-art security at his Beverly Hills mansion after being plagued with horrific death threats against his family.
Cornell, his French wife, Vicky, and their two young children are fearing for their lives after the string of terrifying threats.
The rocker is taking the situation so seriously he's splashed out on a $250,000 high-tech security system to protect them. It reportedly includes more than 40 video cameras, invisible laser beams and 24-hour security guards.
A friend tells the New York Post, "The threats started coming in 2004, when Vicky was six months into her pregnancy with Toni. They usually come by e-mail or by regular mail and are explicit, referring to killing the children and Vicky and exactly how they plan on killing them.
"It's disgusting and terrifying. These people know where they live and how to get hold of them."
The pal adds the threats escalated recently, after confirmation Cornell was to record the theme song for latest James Bond movie, "Casino Royale".

threatening children really gets the point across because to go through with such a thing would make you a sick asscl0wn that should die (as stated in that other thread started by J.P.)

I don't know if anyone remembers me mentioning this but, at the CCforum, there had been a post that was a death threat to his kids with all the details on how it would be done. It got the forum shutdown for a 24 hr period and the thread was deleted. I heard that they did try find the person who did it through their IPaddress. Some people actually believed it was someone we knew.

I seriously don't get this. I mean, I understand why people threaten political leaders and such, if they think they are making policy that somehow ruins their lives.
But what exactly does a musician do that would require you to wish them and their family dead? I mean, can't you choose to, I don't know, stop listening to their music or something?
I just really don't understand this whole idea - I don't see why you'd even conceive of something like this?

I don't think death threats are okay at all, whether against musicians, children of musicians, or even the lowly politicians. This story is horrifying, and I'm glad Mr, Cornell is protecting himself and his family by any means necessary.

I'll say this, he's putting out simple rock music, which to the older fans it's probably not what they want to hear, but to the majority of society it's gold...

There have always been crazy Chris Cornell fans, that are more on the obsessive side of fandom, but really threatening his kids are not fans, but insane people. I feel sorry for him and I don't think he deserves that.

I mean, I knew he was popular, but around here he is about on the same popularity level as Mark Lanegan. (ie. there are no Chris Cornell fans around these parts either ;D)

i think some people got so into him when he was in soundgarden cos he was so elusive, he rarely talked in interviews or really didnt do all that many so he had this unknown quality about him that can attract the wrong kinda person

The myspace may have gotten deleted for unauthorized use of the songs. P.S. Chill, Where on earth do you live, if you've never heard of Chris Cornell. Anyone who listens to rock has got to have heard of him. Did you see his myspace? Read his bio. LOL profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=106890901If you can hear his cover of Billie Jean, it's probably the one good thing he's done lately.
