What's with the Gutter Twins hate? That band was one of the best "supergroups" ever. Saturnalia was the best record of 2008 and their acoustic tours were some of the most incredible performances I've ever heard. I suppose not everyone here is a Dulli fan. I for one believe his work to be on the same level as Lanegan at the least but I can understand that his singing voice throws people off sometimes. It took me a little while to get used to it myself. N eutro likes to say something negative about everything. Ignore him. I seem to recall them saying that there were no plans for a new GT album- that "maybe they'd do one in seven years" or something? I'm not looking too far ahead. The upcoming release and tour is enough to be excited about. I don't get any pleasure from trying to predict the future, and wether I will like my predictions or not.

I hope it isn't a misprint, but I wouldn't mind a new Gutter Twins album either I think you're right about Dulli's voice - it's an acquired taste. I, for one, is only really warming up to it as of late. I love 'Saturnalia', but his voice really took some time for me to learn to listen to and appreciate. It's still not 'smooth sailing', but where would the fun be in that

Yeah and before anyone 'quotes' me i don't hate the gutter twins at all just want Mark to write lots of solo/MLB albums as opposed to appearing on just about everybody elses. Its time for Mr Mark Lanegan to take back his rightful throne as the king of (insert suitable phrase) !!!

I was thinking that myself about a misprint, Cokboydeluxejr. I know Mark can multi-task, but record a new album in "early 2012" when he's also rehearsing and touring? And as for the Gutter Twins, I am a Dulli fan, too, have been as long as I've been a Lanegan fan, so I am dearly hoping another GT album makes it into being. Although the impression I'd gotten from the last thing I heard from Dulli was that he didn't think a new GT album was likely anytime soon. Also it would make me happy to finally hear that collaboration with Duke Garwood. 2012 could be a bountiful year for us Lanegan heads - his new album, the Garwood album, the duets with Christine Owman on an ep, and who knows what else he's been up to!

I've said it before and I'll say it again.... Mark Lanegan is often the least reliable source for what Mark Lanegan has been/will be up to. He's had quite a history of taking on more projects than he can complete (Disinformation? Loaded? etc etc...).

And reading that review is almost aggravating, because I can't listen to the songs yet!!! I am pretty sure I have never anticipated a record like I am anticipating this one.

This one was nothing to do with me! I merely read it The one I had a part in is published on Jan15 in France - and if I'd known that they were really going to be asked (and answered!) I'd have put a bit more thought into them Keith Cameron was a key writer during the early grunge years with Sounds (the Sounds T-Shirt that Kurt Cobain was occasionally pictured in was his), so he's probably known Mark for ages.
