AND for my fellow Aussie forum mates maybe you can check out Michael Rother (NEU!, Harmonia, Kraftwerk) when he tours in March2012 Thanks for the heads-up.......I love me some Krautrock!

I think I almost stopped breathing reading that review. I may actually die when I hear the record.
Mmm Michael Rother...

It's interesting looking over the guest performers, who range from one who publicly bad-mouthed Mark onstage at a concert to another who (not publicly) did much, much worse. I could understand if these appearances were recorded awhile ago, but according to the interview all of this material is pretty brand-new. Maybe Mark isn't one to hold a grudge, or one with a very short memory

I just reread the article too wondering what Spentbullets was getting on about. Josh had some not too sunny words about Mark a while back but I think they got over that.... Or maybe Mark never even read it.

So yeah the badmouthing was Josh -- not sure if he said anything in print, but on the bootleg of the April 1 2005 concert (I think this was immediately after Mark left the tour) Josh told the audience Mark was a fucker several times and in the encore said "If a bum comes up to you on the street after the show, it might be Lanegan" As for the other, the info was told to me in confidence so I can't say any more. And really I just felt like stirring up the nest so just forget it

Well he probably forgave Josh because he said that they live pretty close by now and that they see each other all the time...

Josh would have been understandably annoyed with Lanegan and Oliveri later leaving the band, without their true talent he could only spew forth Lullabies and that other appropriately named era vulgaris.

But happily the issue that came between them seems to have been resolved, and from that Mojo article apparently we're not going to talk about it this time around, so, well, I guess that's the end of this conversation. (Still curious how Surrender 5/4/05 plays into this.)

haha what the hell people look into this shit way too much. Lanegan has performed with the Queens since 2005 as soon as 2007 i think it was. Homme was probably really disappointed in his friends going (back to) doing bad shit. Not really nice to air it out publicly but i get it.
