Looks like the cover art is continuing the flower/wallpaper theme started on "Blues Funeral"

So Harvest Home is on the LP Phantom Radio? Must be I don't see it on this EP. If that's so it means Phantom Radio is not only an album of ehh - you know the lack of a better term thing - quieter (whatever) songs like Judgement Time and I am the Wolf but also more upbeat with an '80ies synth even... Right?

Right? Looks that way from the press release, really hope not though. I'd prefer the album to be more cohesive and 'quieter' to coin your phrase. Its what Mark does best IMO. I haven't listened to blues funeral for months to be honest but black pudding is still doin' it for me, mmm crispy blood sausage...mmm.

Ah good to know I didn't hear much about the other new song, The Wild People. But Phantom Radio has been announced as a new Mark Lanegan Band record and the Band part has always been a mix between quiet and more rockier songs. (rockier? I'm bad at naming things...) So it can still make sense. Maybe he combined the Black Pudding idea as in working again with Duke and the BF idea as in working again with Johannes... Weird to see that the US/Canada get this a month earlier than Europe, as it's usually the other way round. Maybe US/Canada is for the goofy stuff and Europe, us , is for the more serious stuff bwhahaha Lot's of maybe's

I don't get the price disparity of $6.99 for Australia versus £9.99 + £7.45pp I just spent for the vinyl??? Maybe it's just the downloads that are cheaper?? Anyway hope I get it soon...not that I can play it lol but just to gaze at it is good enough for me BUT it's annoying we can't buy Sad Lover like others can

Vinyl is currently very expensive, as it's currently rather pricey to make for a whole stack of reasons. Downloads require no printing, no raw materials and almost no distribution Anyhoo, online reviews should start surfacing soon. Genuinely looking forward to reading what other people make of their 1st listens to this...

Europe gets almost all the live shows, it's kind of nice to see that the US gets the record first

Can't wait to hear what direction the EP/LP go into, whether something much more electronic like Blues Funeral or something reminiscent of the folksy/blues style of his older records...or maybe something completely out of left field. You're about two thirds correct

I got quite a new wave and Velvet Underground feel when I head "Sad Lover" For some reason - in my head - he sings it with Debbie Harry
