I don't want to sound like I'm doubting you, but if this is true then why isn't it on onewhiskey.com yet? These days I don't always have time to investigate everything that gets said or posted on the internet. I do try to keep things updated as well as I can, but there are a lot of people on this board with broad interests who hear about things from all over. Chances are the release of stuff and even sometimes tour info that gets posted here is actually good information - without any 'official source' to contact me, I can't really confirm things until they happen. So what I'm saying is, once something comes out and someone tells me yes, they heard it and it's what they said it was, I do post it to the site. But by looking into what the people on here say, you often get an early heads-up!

well the site is blue now, so I wanted to reflect...but it's just not the same on here. Now it's a bit bland, but at least it's readable (without having to use sunglasses)

sorry, I was going for slightly eye-bleeding, but I guess I over-did, huh? I have a hard time figuring out what color I'm making things until it's all done. I'll see if I can't find something else!

Someone just told me about the issue recently, so I guess I asumed it was more current than that. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up falsely.

If anyone is somewhere where you can pick up a copy of Mojo magazine, the current issue has stuff about The Kinks, and on the included CD you can get Mark's version of Nothin' in the World...

So wait - did your friend decline BECAUSE of the pineapple? Or were there other factors? I have several tattoos, perhaps this is why I can't get a date?

You see, I had to catch the bus at Steeles and Bramalea. So, I went to the BUS STATION at Steeles and Bramalea. moral of the day: fly from Hamilton ;D Were you in Toronto? Those street names sound so very familiar. I kinda miss hearing about Toronto traffic jams on the radio, now I just hear about LA ones on the tv! However, traffic reports are not enough to make me want to move back to Buffalo!

I am fine, just had a fat lip and a bruised knee. I am required to be just fine so that I have to continue to deal with whatever kind of crap comes along.
I just keep hearing so much about this MySpace, and I feel like something must be missing from my life. Perhaps this is why my luck has been so bad.

I don't have any sources. And I don't have a MySpace. And hey, to top it off I don't have a job and got in a bad car wreck last week, and so I don't have a car.
Maybe my life will improve if I just go get a MySpace, huh?

sorry if the description in the discog is confusing. At the time I made the site, Scraps wasn't out and you could only get Wheels on the Vol. 9 and 'Sharks Patrol...' discs. Then when Scraps came out and Wheels appeared on it, there was some talk about it being 'different' than previously released. To me it sounded like the same song, so I just updated the entry in the discog to say it now showed up on Scraps.
I think the posting of the recording info clears it up, though.

Well it's all becoming a very tricky business. I have been approached by other authors, before and since, and asked to remove their work, and I always comply. I don't post as many articles as I used to, either, because it's getting to be really slippery.
The facts are that when I first started the site, I posted anything I could find, from anywhere, and tried to give credit or links when I had them available. But in '97 there were fewer people and orginizations online, so I'm sure a lot of what I put up went un-noticed. That's just not the case anymore, and a lot of people are very concerned about their work being reproduced all over the place - and they do have a right to feel that way. I always remove or put notices on things when I'm asked, but I'm sure not everyone reacts that way, so sometimes people approach me more harshly than they need to - but how are they to know that before the lawyer comments come out? I'm sure there are a lot of 'respectful' webmasters out there, but there's more who just don't care. After dealing with those people, I can see why someone may think they have to make a strong statement right out of the box when contacting me.
It's hard now to do or say anything on a website without violating someone's rights or privacy - and I do want to avoid that at all costs, but still be able to post something useful every now and then to continue to promote a musician I like and respect.
This forum itself is an example - I know the original forum at the offical website got removed, and one of the possible reasons was that some of the comments posted there were not appreciated. I wasn't sure if starting a forum here would be a good idea or not - in the end I think the news and info and community outweigh any of the bad, but that's just my opinion.
So artists, writers, photographers, musicans - they all create something they want to have control over and to protect, and I get that. Whether or not they choose to use what they made somewhere or not is their decision, not mine. I do hope that the content of this website will not all get chipped away over time as more and more people ask me to remove things - and in fairness, a lot of what I posted I just put up as it was sent to me or as I found it, without going and looking for myself to see if anyone had posted a warning about copyrights, etc. And things spread like crazy - even the lyrics I have posted that are labelled as 'unofficial' and admittedly contain mistakes have been pulled off my site and reposted on some of these ad-filled 'lyrics sites' - mistakes and all! It's frustrating to me to think someone stole from my own site, even when what they stole wasn't mine or even correct - so I can only imagine how people who DO own a copyright to something must feel.
Anyhow, I guess that's the end of my rant. And if any authors or photographers or whoever see things on the site that belong to them that they prefer I don't have up, I will always comply with their wishes to remove it. I just hope that if it's something that really makes no difference to them in terms of income or other rights, they will just ignore it in the spirit the site is intended, which is to promote Mark and share with other fans.

some pics from Twilight Singers, including a few of Mark: thetwilightsingers.com/noticias/and an interview with Isobel on several subjects, including Mark: www.faceculture.nlLet me know if the interview is good - I've been waiting about 20 minutes and it's only 20% buffered. It sucks being on dial-up, because the world has forgotten there are still some of us left out here!

I went to my MySpace thing and saw that picture with the bulletin entitled 'Live With Me'. It was great for a minute before I remembered there's a big difference between a Bulletin and a Private Message...

Ah - I didn't realize the Rolling Stone Italy post was actually related to that picture. Mostly because I am slow.

Where did that picture come from?
I'd really like to be able to put some of these pictures up on the site, but since I don't know where they're from I can't give any sort of credit, which tends to piss people off.
If anyone knows where any of the pics on this board (that I don't already have on the site) came from, please post them again with the info, so I can include them. I'd like to round up all those ones with Isobel too and put them all in one place.

Hey maybe Raeni will read this post and put the unofficial lyrics to this album on One Whiskey. And then maybe the official lyrics will come shortly after. Heheh. Yeah, I'm not sure if posting incorrect lyrics to songs he participated on, rather than wrote, will irritate him enough to cause real ones to appear. I wish I had real lyrics to the older albums, even. And as for that 'reeks of Lanegan' line, I don't know, I've put the thing practically up my nose and it still just smells sort of plastic to me.

OK, the hat may be black, but I knew I wasn't hallucinating all of it! It's from Revolver magazine, June of '03:

Personally I'm fantasizing about what Lanegan would look like in a cowboy hat.... Hmmm...damned if I can find that picture, but I assure you, one like that exists. It's from a QOTSA photo session, if I remember right, and the cowboy hat is brown. I can't believe I can't locate a copy of it somewhere around here, but someone must have it somewhere...

ok - I realize everyone thinks they're entitled to have unreleased albums in advance, and to participate in distributing them out to everyone in the world. I realize that if YOU plan to buy the album, you feel it is ok to do this. Whatever. I'm sick of talking about it.
Let's just remember that when the official board was up, Lanegan himself posted generally negative feelings about this practice.
If you MUST do this - use the frigging downloads section. That is why it is there. If you have it/know where to get it, post something about it THERE. If you see something posted there and want to have it yourself, PM the person who made the original post for whatever info/instructions you need.
I am thankful that the person who addressed us in the Isobelle thread was being informative, and not punitive, but you KNOW I have been asked to remove links from this forum before. I'd rather NOT have to delete pages-long informational threads in their entirety, just because people are posting links to things that were not meant to be released.
If you use the downloads thread for this, and I later get any sort of crap, or any sort of threats from enraged publicists, I can easily go in and delete only THAT thread, without screwing up the rest of your conversation.
Call me a prude, or a bitch, or whatever you want - but even if YOU didn't post an album originally, your participation in distribution of it through THIS FORUM can get ME into trouble, and nice people will stop sending me the precious little info that I DO get. So just realize IT'S ALL ABOUT ME, and put things where they go. Thank you.

Does that mean its already available? yes, it came out in November. The whole thing is darn cute, but yeah, after listening to Mark singing that song, I could easily hear him doing all kinds of kids' narration. His voice is so expressive, even during the spoken parts.

There are many pics of Mark with fans, especially from the past 2 tours, on onewhiskey. Personally, I have never managed to get a picture with him, because I have always been too stupid. I do however have one of him with my mother. Each time I could have taken one I didn't think of it, and each time I planned on asking to have one taken, I never got to speak to him. It's some sort of photo curse.
