After finally having received the album two days ago and listened to it in full nine times (one time backwards, which interestingly flows quite well too), here is my preliminary ranking of the songs, with my favourite on top and descending
Stockholm City Blues Hanging on (for DRC) Bleed all Over Skeleton Key I Wouldn't Want to Say This Game of Love Burying Ground Daylight in the Nocturnal House (liked the "original" Bloodline a lot better, despite being short) Ketamine Ballad of a Dying Rover Apples from a Tree At Zero Below Eden Lost and Found Internal Hourglass Discussion Churchbells, Ghosts
Would currently give it a total of 7,5ish/10

I can definitely hear the influence of Downelling on many tracks That is very bad. It probably feels closest to No Bells On Sunday EP. That is very good. But now I am confused. Loved the Bells EP, but hated Downwelling. Guess I have to wait two more weeks to finally be able to listen to SSoS and build my own opinion. Liked the three songs so far, though.

I haven't booked any additional insurances with my flight or hotel, so cancelling myself would result in me paying 100%. Gonna wait, if they will cancel on me, that way there is a chance for money back.
Wonder, if/when this Bubblegum thing would be rescheduled. Not sure, if I could make the trip then.

Hey y'all! Some of you might know the site Sporcle, which features a variety of quizzes. I found a quiz on ML Songs, but it was a bit outdated, so I created a new one www.sporcle.com/games/jho_de/mark-lanegan-song-titles-2020You need to type in all his songs, including the upcoming release Straight Songs of Sorrow. No need to write the first letters in capitals or deal with apostrophes - it will still count. (Typing when your number isnt up will reveal the correct answer When Your Number Isn't Up)
The time limit is 20 minutes. Might be a bit steep, but it is the maximum which can be selected.
Hope you enjoy!

That is indeed sad. 22 years, gosh, that is a long time. Thank you for the dedication to keep this place running. I haven't used the main site a lot recently, but used the awesome tour-database to transfer everything over to setlist.fm, so that the gathered knowledge is preserved over there. Guess the idea wasn't so bad after all. I hope that the forum will stay, as it still is my ML source #1

Well, the repertoire was already big enough at that point. Also, they could have thrown in some Acoustic tunes with Jeff at any point (like Bombed, which is back), if they really struggled to find stuff to play.

7 dec Roeselare Belgium Show was ok, ML voice sounded good. Best performance is easy, burning jacobs ladder. Worst performancs also easy, Emperor Btw his signing session took maybe 5 min or less. Wanted to shake his hand or whatever, but he was gone before my beer was empty haha. *** burning jacobs ladder, name and number, gospel plow ** gazing from the shore, disbelief suspension, bleeding muddy water * the rest, the usual songs, ok but nothing special Skip please! dark disco jag, emperor, killing season, night flight to kabul, death trip to tulsa. So, setlist similar to yesterdays? www.setlist.fm/setlist/mark-lanegan/2019/le-trianon-paris-france-4b9a632a.htmlMan I wish I would be lucky to catch Gospel Plow. Seemed like I caught Mark in a rather bad mood, when he simply played a short 18 song set, and now he is pulling out the cool tunes

In Berlin, Shelly did not perform. Was she there the last days? Gazing from the Shore was played, probably for the First Time Sadly, Three (new) Songs were skipped from the setlist Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself again and still got to hear nine songs, which I hadn‘t before Do you remember how long was the set? Seeing him tommorow and the show has a late start so I'm little worried I'll miss my train. It was like 80-85 minute'ish 21:00 start Opener 22:00 start ML

In Berlin, Shelly did not perform. Was she there the last days? She was present in Malmo last week. I assumed that, because I saw "Come to Me" on the setlist. That song isn't played without her. Sadly, no setlists of 14th and 16th November yet.

I hope that "Letter Never Sent" and "Playing Nero" aren't scrapped permanently. Would be a shame two cut two new songs. There is plenty of other stuff to cut. Looking at you, "Deepest Shade" and "Harborview Hospital"

I hope, this stays the same. That would be 10 new songs for me again (8 from SN, plus Burning Jacobs Ladder & Come to Me) There are still a few songs I which have been played a bit too often and I would swap (Hit the City, Harborview Hospital, Harvest Home, Deepest Shade), but I'm fine with them Speaking of played very often - First time The Gravedigger's Song is dropped since it came out, I believe
