I went to the beach yesterday. I saw a paddleboarder racing a sailboat, a bald eagle chillin on a rock like a badass, and a man in a turtleneck and kilt running around to no apparent purpose. I love the beach

I hope that's not the guy who wore the kilt. Would've loved to see the bald eagle.

That's awesome that a man in a kilt and turtleneck was running around on the beach. The bald eagle was just icing on that cake.

I really need a new bookshelf. My 6' one is packed. Each shelf is stacked 2 books deep, and most have books crammed in sideways on top of the others. I've got books stacked in growing piles all over my dresser and the floor by my bed. But in a house with 2 people, where everyone had pretty complete sets of furniture, there's not a lick of space for another shelf.
I'm just going to have to start getting rid of clothes.

Snotface, i admire a person that reads a lot of books I can get through one a year, maybe. I am too thick.

I don't read as much as I used to, I just get so busy and distracted, I forget to make time for it. I whipped through books like lightning when I was a kid. Frankly, I have no clue how my poor mum kept me supplied with books without going broke! Thank god for libraries and used bookstores.

That's cool! I studied Dutch and English for a while and was forced to read - it is the quickest way to spoil reading.... I am trying to get back into it. Started reading more when Mr. Lungs was ill and now i cannot find the peace of mind to read at all. I try but never really stay focussed long enough

Naps! Don't know if I love them or hate them....
I live in a studio apartment and my bed is right there when I walk in the door. I've developed the habit of jumping in bed with my mail, cats, and laptop when I get home from work or whatever- and then half the time dozing off for a hour or two. I enjoy it but I also think it's lame-o.

When I was younger I did enjoy pushing my gore/violence/wierd boundaries with movies like cannibal holocaust, Faces of Death, Bad Boy Bubby even Met the Feebles. Recently I thought it would be "fun" to dive back in and watched "A Serbian Film". Never again, I'm too old for that stuff anymore and have to ask myself what the hell provoked me into watching a film with a synopsis like this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Serbian_Film
