Interview went very well. I might cry now. He asked where I see myself in 10 years, would I be the assistent manager of the hotel/restaurant or the sommelier.
Jup.. might cry now. How wonderful is life? Could hardly imagine myself working there as a waittress let alone the position I'm going for now (Chef de Rang) and then he asks me this!! So so happy. My mind is blown. I hope I get the job hihi

Thank you, julia And as if this day isn't fabulous enough, I just listened to WTF with Marc Maron. Interviewing Nick Cave. It's a great interview (though mr. Maron is unsure of it), and Cave talks about a script he wrote for Gladiator 2. This made me laugh. so. hard. www.wtfpod.com/podcast/episodes/episode_403_-_nick_cave

We slept through them Sunday night, and last night we had thunderstorms. Hoping to still see some Perseids this week. My best 2 summer purchases: a real bicycle and a REAL telescope!

Tonight's the last night Really lucked out yesterday, the cloud cover at night's been awful here for weeks (Typical, as I'd spent a bunch if cash on new telescope stuff!) but the clouds parted at about 10pm and I sat out in the garden in a deckchair till 2 this morning watching the show

Their peak is over, but Perseids can often be spotted sporadically until August 24th or so....fingers crossed!

Triggered by certain frequencies (thankfully not any of the brown ones!) in music, things go a bit weird visually/physically. Dustin (Soulsavers/Josh T Pearson/A Winged Victory For The Sullen pianist) O'Halloran's Lumiere album is a great one for setting it off, which is why I have had to ban it from the car... I can "feel" things I look at, everything goes a bit sparkly and usually green/purple, and lots of blurry afterimages. Sometimes get a sensation of utter elation with some tunes, which is also nice when it happens EDIT: so that'll be mostly sound-colour/Chromesthesia then, I've just read up on some of the other ones and they sound like loads of fun. On the lexical-gustatory front, I do get something similar to this with certain songs (as a bizarre example, even just thinking about Eye Of the Tiger puts an actual taste of hamburger on my tongue as if it was 100% real) in but I always thought that this was just a lucid waking memory and assumed that this happened to everyone... doesn't it?

Cool you've got it with music. I've got synesthesia too, but just the not so special one: Spatial Sequence Synesthesia.
