I like Neil! I love cranky dudes.
I like Harvest. And After The Goldrush. And Live Rust, a nice selection of stuff on that.
and the BBC DVD I have that's a solo performance from before Harvest came out, he's charming, talking about paper cups, american cars, and having to carry multiple harmonicas. Probably after the WFTHG demos it's the best thing I got of Dime this year.

Probably after the WFTHG demos it's the best thing I got of Dime this year. I watched that on Trio, he was so young and what's great is he had so many great songs already. I really love all the songs Neil did with Buffalo Springfield. I've seen the dude a few times and he always has terrific musicians that he takes on tour, like Crazy Horse and he rocks his ass off!

i think Neil is a bit overrated (mainly due to the fact that he hasn't put out a consistent record since the 70's...maybe with the exception of a couple), but i still really dig and respect him. i'd say his albums from "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" through "Zuma" are pretty tits in a bag. after that....not so much.

Consistent! WTF, you're talking like a record exec.JK I like Neil because he isn't consistent, he does what he wants to do and he sings kinda flat.

I just bought the Live at Massey Hall 1971 CD/DVD and it is amazing. Solo acoustic & live, it doesn't get much better than this.
If anyone is considering buying this be sure to get the edition that includes the DVD.

You know, with the lack of good CDs being made these days, I figured people would be all over this Massey Hall CD like stink on shit.
Come on folks, do like the title of this thread says: APPRECIATE Neil Young.
