in fariness, i didnt think much of 'little sister' when i first heard it...
but i think the album is really good. it's much more cohesive than songs for the deaf. maybe it doesnt have the individual great 'single' type songs, but as a whole you can put it on and it has a real consistent vibe to it... i really like the overall feeling i get from it. i just think different people want different things out of an album, but i think, as a whole entity, it flows really well.
and who can argue with an album that says...
'you wanna know why you feel so hollow...? because you are.'
so what if kerrang or some other shitty metal mags give it a bad review, these are people that put Bon Jovi and Poison on their covers... they're all hiding from their redneck pasts and trying to be first on the 'QOTSA are finished without Nick' story. get over it. it's probably the most consistent and inspired Queens album - lyrically and in terms of passion and sarcasm/vitriol. Musically, the drumming is probably better than a lot of Grohl's stuff on SFTD, but no one cares because there isn't a big name behind it... the guitar work is great, and the bass is probably better than anything nick could ever do. the bandwagon was well and truly jumped on for SFTD, and now people are jumping ship.
oh, and listening to audio samples on amazon is not a good way to judge an album - they are lower quality than cd and you probably aren't listening to them through a decent sound system... go and listen to amazon samples of something you love and you will realise how shitty it sounds on there...

i've been listening to it for a while trying to like it, there are tracks that stand out like precious and grace, someones in the wolf, lullaby, but in an album that has about 14 tracks five or six great songs doesn't really help you listen for any lenght of time

oh, and listening to audio samples on amazon is not a good way to judge an album Exactly. That's why I didn't had any urge to get the album after listening to them. Nice try though.

After listening to Little Sister and audio samples on amazon I don't have the slightest urge to get this one. If anyone wants to have a go at convincing me of its greatness I'll appreciate it. And, no, "it's great" or the like won't do. little sister is shit. someone once told me sftd was a record you could listen to from start to finish (yeah, i suppose you could... but why?), but this is one you HAVE to listen to from start to finish. trust me. there's a whole vibe you're not getting if you don't.

.......jesus, so there's a few people out there don't actually like the album? So what?
I like it, you like it & a few thousand odd QOTSA fans think it's the greatest thing since the last album, isn't that enough?

according to stp's legal counsel, with whom my counsel briefly conferred this morning, anything less that total and unequivocal agreement on the merits of the new qotsa album is unacceptable and punishable by severe name-calling. fucking retards.

well, i've also had legal advice, and the dude on the phone said you're probably infringing on my basic human rights, and the 3rd and 5th amendment, and the australia-US free trade agreement.

The enetertainment industry wouldn't stand for those kind of injustices... all it takes is one phone call to Micheal Moore – remember, YOU'RE the bad guy in this.

By the way, who cant´s resist on this songs: In my head (Hit the city sista in rhytm and vibe) Tangled Up In Plaid I Never Came (Seems "like a stone" intro with great Josh vocals!) Broken Box Long Slow Goodbye very smoke, man! I really don´t understand why people don´t like those songs!
