I noticed that too on the 4AD site. If you ordered from them, check your account info and order. Mine too now says, that the item has shipped. So we should have them well before the street date!

Here's a review that I found that I disagree with. Blues Funeral is one of Mark Lanegan's best albums for me. blogs.seattleweekly.com/reverb/2012/01/no_surprise_mark_lanegans_blue.php Notwithstanding side projects with Isobel Campbell, Queens of the Stone Age, and Greg Dulli, Blues Funeral marks Lanegan's first solo release since 2004's excellent Bubblegum. That gravel-throated warble is worn in and deeper now, his lugubrious themes even more so. But Blues Funeral is a not a downer because of its brooding lyricism--what we all love about Lanegan--it's a bummer because the grunge icon traded distortion and mystique for cheesy guitar effects, sweeping synth, and misplaced irony (see "Ode to Sad Disco") that liken him more to the Dandy Warhols than the Screaming Trees. They say change is good, but even with the righteous shredding of Josh Homme, who appears on Funeral ("Riot In My House") as he did on Bubblegum, the oft-lamenting artist can do better.

I agree with that review. This album doesn't come close to Bubblegum. And I was really hoping it would. There are a few standout tracks for me. But honestly, this one's a let down. Not enough range or variety and too much synth. Also hes singing about jesus too much.
I honestly cant believe how much everyone is sucking up to him. I love Lanegan a lot. But Harborview Hospital is one of the worst songs hes ever made. I also think Burning Jacobs Ladder is just as good as any song on the album.
This isn't about not liking it because of a new sound. This is about not liking it much just because, well, half of it just isn't very good...Hopefully it's a grower.

I'm in the US, yes. I received an email that said that my order has been shipped and my order says "complete" on the site.

here's my review.
this album is pretty fucking good.
it is indeed quite rare for performers to improve with age, but lanegan is one of those who only gets better with every release. he is a fine wine.
that's it. i'll post again in 2020. later fuckers.

After only about half a dozen listings, I'd give Blues Funeral a solid A-. Gray Goes Black just isn't quite working for me, but there is so much brilliance (Bleeding Muddy Water, St. Louis Elegy, Deep Black Vanishing Train, Harborview Hospital, pretty much the entire rest of the album) that it hardly detracts.

The more I listen the more I find to love about this and not feeling many/any low points. Ode to Sad Disco is just kicking my ass. I agree with Carl. It is like an artist who changes medium. Mark went from sculpting his David to his Sistine Chapel.

I want to hear from all of the old school guys here on this record. I bet it surprises the shit out of many of these guys. Some of the Soulsavers material points slightly to where this record could go but even at that.... The width and breath of this record is pretty amazing.
