He could call it I'll Take Care of 2 - like that sequel to The Fast & The Furious, the name of which currently escapes me.

If it weren't for the '...you can dry your tears on my dress..' line Dusty Springfield's 'Breakfast in Bed would be ace. Mark could turn that song into aural erotica - altho Dusty herself doesn't do a bad job of that

"Things Behind The Sun"- Nick Drake

I think a lot of Nick Drake's work would loose it's charm and mysticism if someone else sang them, because his voice really had that effect, for me at least.

yeah i kind of understand what you're saying, but if the sebodah cover of pink moon has taught me anything, it can and will be done. i just think it'd be interesting, and it's definitely one of my favorites by nick, besides.

I thought Beck's version of Parasite was excellent, and Pink Moon was OK if not wonderful. Should also be pointed out that Mr. Lanegan has already recorded Clothes of Sand for a Joe Boyd-produced Nick tribute album (other artists reportedly included Kate Bush and Paul Weller), but it's not looking too likely to see a release

Would another covers album be a good idea or a bad idea?

I'd personally like a new solo album with songs written by Mark himself.

Shotbytheblues, are you saying clowns don't immediately fill you with a sense of existential dread? He's sung about the devil, so this is the next logical step, no?

by the way, am i the only person who finds it make it wit chu by far the worst Queens song yet, perhaps due to its uncanny similiarity to the Scissor Sisters' Laura ?

I've never connected it with Laura, ever. So yeah, its probably just you
