Well this little chickadee just voted. I mailed my ballot in yesterday. That's one vote for Kerry.

I heard for this election, the request for absentee ballots was the biggest in history.

I've been an absentee voter for years. It's so much easier, convenient and nice to sit at the kitchen table reading through the voters' pamphlet instead of being in some booth.
I believe that more and more people are going to become absentee voters. That's wild that this election year saw a huge increase. I wonder by how much? Do you know?

I don't know the exact figures, but I heard it was overwhelming. I also heard that it was such a crunch this year that they might not be able to get to all of them. I don't know if that means mailing them out, or counting them...it was a news blurb.

I wouldn't think counting them would be a big issue. I bet the issue is with getting them out to people in time, especially if an ungodly amount of people made the request. I wonder if that means more people are voting, or if more people are realizing that they're lazy!

Maybe that's the key to getting people to show up to vote...hot drinks & cookies and friendliness...I think you've got something there, Karlito...sounds inviting. I, on the other hand, get to vote in an elementary school with 80 year olds asking me to repeat my info 6 times...until I, reading upside down, find and point out my info.

Because he doesn't affiliate himself with the big two political parties, and he just kind of gets the ass-end of the deal. I read an article on Yahoo, I believe, about the democrats trying to remove him from the ballad in a few states because it would take away votes from Kerry. That's fucking bullshit. I'll take Kerry over Bush anyday, but that gives them no right to screw someone else off the ballad. VOTE NADER!

This is a topic that i know something about. Historically, the candidate who wins Ohio will win the election, John Kerry is currently claiming Ohio by 6 points. Hopefully he will win, and hopefully all of you are voting.
