Zantar i cant seem to set up an account on this flaming site!!! have you managed to DL the track? The hunt for this song form a half decent site is driving me completely nuts!!!
Can't believe this and sunrise were both left off, why not just add them to the album? very dissapointing package overall, at least the music that is on the disc is for the most part very good but you have to wonder especially when the track order is so poorly arranged.

I completely agree with the frustration over getting this track; I ran into the same problem about 2 years ago when I tried to get 'Blues Run the Game,' which was a great little gem to finally get. I have no complaints with the track order and the music itself is phenomenal. By My Side has really grown on me over the past few days, but I'm interested to see how Highway Kind could be as a closer. I ordered an album quality version of 'Sunrise' this morning from Amazon US.

Give in without a fight and downloaded Highway Kind from Itunes. At first I thought it a bit slight for the album, but it's growing on me - it would have made a fine album closer (wonder why it's not? - track 14 is on the cover!). It may be because it's new, but to me this is the best thing Mark's done/been involved with since Bubblegum.

We better both watch out we might both be baned for having a different opinion to each other! Its conflict you see and its scares some of the little ones.
On a more serious note what tracks do you really like on saturnalia? I only like seven stories, all misery flowers and who will lead us just can't get into the rest at all. You not enjoying Broken?

On the other hand Saturnalia,I dont like The Body and Each To Each.I love all the others.

I got the cd and the vinyl yesterday morning and have been listening to the album more or less non-stop since then. It's so different to the last record tht it took me a couple of listens to get into it, but now I love it. Shadows Fall is so beautiful I almost can't bear it.

Unbalanced Pieces and Praying Ground are my least favorite. The instrumentals are good, especially Wise Blood. Death Bells is fun. but the burn - pharaoh run is where it's at. absolutely fantastic. Rolling Sky is groovy and By My Side is a good closer, though i still feel a bit gutted about not having Lanegan close the album.
i think they did the right thing not including Sunrise because despite its awesomeness, it wouldn't really fit anywhere on this record.

Agree, I love Unbalanced Pieces! Quite honestly, after about a week of having the album, I don't think there is one weak track on it. By My Side has really grown on me. I think the only thing I would have preferred is to have Lanegan do Praying Ground, but I think Red Ghost does a pretty damn respectable job of it. I only say this because of the awesome work he did with Kingdoms of Rain on the last album. I can't comment on Highway Kind though...

I agree but its such a great track it could it not have been included as a bonus track at least? Completely agree with you about the track 4-9 run its most definately where its at peaking with all the way down followed by shadow's fall.
