One thing bugs me, though. Why are the Blues Funeral album and singles covers included in the liner notes? The album was a 2012 release and the anthology, rightfully, excludes BF tracks. Not sure how (or why) that works. It may be to promote Blues Funeral.

Anyone else feel a "proper", objective Mark Lanegan anthology is remiss without Methamphetamine Blues and When Your Number Isn't Up ? (That questions is probably a Pandora's box) He opens so many shows with those songs...

Those would be on the Mark Lanegan Band anthology some day.

which leads to another discussion: "Mark Lanegan" vs "Mark Lanegan Band" que significa? Why the change/ add on of "Band"?

There's probably a clearer explanation for the "Band" thing somewhere else, but this is the closest I could find straight away, from a Hot Press interview in '04:
BF was collaborative as well (with Johannes/Irons), so the Band thing fits again. Imitations was him on his own surrounded by people doing what he told them, so it's missing from that one.
As for Meth Blues & ..Number..., the latter could have fitted but other choices were made, the former would be a bit odd on such a mellow anthology.

I got my physical copy of it today (last copy in HMC)and I'm still overwhelmed by disc 2. Disc 1 is lovely , apart from omitting Carry Home it's a good selection for any new listeners.

Mine's showing in the UK now, with an extra thingy that says "cleared through Customs". Sounds like it's going to cost a bit more then...

The good people at Light In The Attic marked the value of the goods as $2.00 on the Customs Declaration Note. I'm not an expert, but hopefully no customs charges will be applicable for that.

That's a relief! Then again, there's 2 in mine so they might have had to increase that a bit as it'd be a bit obvious. I'm prepared for the worst, so any/all reductions in what I should be paying is welcome

"At Post Office"
Any hour now then, I'll either have a lovely, heavy box or a little grey postcard...
EDIT: Box! And it's massive! No customs charge as it's declared as $4 and a gift (just as well, the shipping's declared as $60)

I ordered 2 and only received one last week. The vinyl packaging is amazing from the covers, plastic sleeves etc. The other should be here by end of week.

Don't think mine has even left LA yet - I am now expecting Mark to personally deliver it to me - I would even fly to Melbourne to collect since he loves it there! are you listening Mark?

Mine is in Canada! Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. In the meantime I got a package from Australia yesterday, Courtney Barnett's new record should tide me over a day or two.

Hello Thank you to those who commented on Halcyon Daze and Grey Goes Black. I like most everyone here am always happy when Mark releases his music...old and new. As I have mentioned before, it is my hope and belief that you will be hearing more of the music Mark recorded with me in the near future. Randall Jamail
