Islington web site suggests it's just an extra date as the Union Chapel has sold out

I just realised that the ticket for the show in Nîmes costs only 6 bucks (!) so I'm definitely going there... Yea, why is that? A friend of mine is going to that show (her first ML experience!). I saw they have equally cheap tickets for The Wedding Present!

Islington web site suggests it's just an extra date as the Union Chapel has sold out Just got my tickets for the two Islington gigs from Seetickets. I notice that the tickets for the 8th November at Union Chapel list it as 'Mark Lanegan plus special guest Duke Garwood'. However the ones for the 29th November at Islington Assembly Hall list it as only 'Mark Lanegan'. Does anyone know if this is likely to be just a difference in the printing of tickets for each concert, or is the gig on the 29th likely to be Garwood-less?

I'm looking for a spare downstairs ticket for Islington Assembly Hall if anyone ends up needing to get rid of one. I had literally bought the last downstairs ticket a couple weeks back, but do need a second as well. Thanks!

I think everyone knows about it, but just in case, there are dates in Iceland now on the official site.

Nice, must have! I'd also like to see some decent merch on this tour. Most Blues Funeral shirts were ugly and don't even get me started about those 'Dark Mark does Christmas' shirts haha (at least they were funny...)

The promoter of the two dates in Austria has put some more info on their website, including the line up of the band:
Jeff Fielder (they said "Fielding" and I originally pasted their list without thinking here - but this must be the same guy :-) Duke Garwood Frederic Jaques (that's Mr Lyenn obviously) Lukas Lauermann (Soap&Skin / A Life, A Song, A Cigarette / Alp Bora Quartett) Julia Pichler (Neuschnee, Alp Bora Quartett)
The latter two musicians (playing cello and violin respectively) are based in Austria. So Mr Lanegan is again expanding his international network of collaborations. I love it. (Five more days to go!!!!)

Oh wow, Reykjavik!!! Mark in Iceland, I would LOVE to be there. Love! Anyone want to pay for me to go? Pleases? hi! i'm going to the second show in Reykjavík I didn't see any posters in town. In fact, it was the guy at a record store who told me about it and when I wanted to get my ticket the first show was already sold out (and by that time it wasn't even announced in the official website ). Luckily, I got a ticket for the second show. The venue looks awesome (it will be inside a church). Oh! I haven't introduced myself, I'm Núria and I'm from Barcelona but now I live in Iceland so I was very very happy when the date in Reykjavík was added!

Just a quick note from Vienna.
It was great seeing Lyenn, and Duke Garwood and Mark Lanegan again. Lyenn played mostly quite new songs - a short but very emotional and beautiful set. Then it was Duke's turn. I thought his songs were more "stage friendly" than last year. During his part he said something about 'time to promote Black Pudding', and played the instrumental title track. I thought I heard a little bit of sarcasm in his voice, when he was making that announcement.
Mark's band consisted of musicians listed earlier in this thread - Duke played saxophone most of the time. But they used a variety of arrangements throughout the concert - so there were a few songs stripped to just guitar and voice, some in which bass guitar and sax played. And then there were several songs with strings added. In the songs taken from Imitations - it sounded "normal and expected", but some of his older songs were also re-arranged, and I thought it was an amazing change. The high point among these, for me, was One Hundred Days. And I would definitely enjoy a recording of these new versions, so let's hope for a Live CD from this tour!!!
Last but not least they played a few songs from Black Pudding / Pentecostal, Driver, Shade of the Sun and ... instrumental version of Cold Molly/. A surprising fact was that these songs were left for the first part during encore (BTW, the entire encore was without the violinist and cellist). Another thing that may have happened for the first time during Mark's concerts was that he walked out of stage saying more or less that 'I'll come back when you get your act together'. They just continued - and probably played the whole song, but he only came back for the next one.
This was the first concert for the band, and last night in a few places they didn't sound very tight yet. But the show was amazing anyway - because it was so different from what I had seen or heard before. With this approach (new arrangements, new musical ideas all the time) there's always risk that the band will need time to get their act together :-)
I hope someone picked the setlist and it will be posted here.
Oh, yes, the merch stand. I didn't think any new live CDs were added, but there was a vinyl that looked new to me - Istanbul, December 11, 2012 (not sure about the date - but it's close). There were various designs of T-shirts and other goodies (even the ML bobblehead).
OK, must return the noteboook to the Pension owner now. No more Internet Cafes in Vienna, and everywhere they have Internet access, but you must have your own "gear"...

the gig yesterday was very nice. nice to meet you heidi, also, hope you've found your friend from onewhiskey.
I liked the songs of Lyenn but I expected more of the Duke Garwood/Mark Lanegan collab in the live set.
perhaps we can complete the setlist together. It was a mix of Bubblegum and Imitations. I can remember: One hundred days, Mack the knife, Solitaire, ...
all in all the gig was a little too short for my taste. But the sound was good. I made a few iphone vids...perhaps I'll upload them later. Also got a spare copy of the Christmas CD, if anyone is interested. It's signed to my name from Mark, but I guess that's not a problem.
