I'm sure Steph can think of other names to call you....Can you 2 take this conversation to PM's? Or is this thread officially dead? I mean I should know better than to check this thread for any more reviews and such but, is this now the mutual admiration thread? Mokes and applepis sure can't practice what they preach.

And Steph, give it up already. Never, baby. I never give up. I'm a fighter. And Twinkletoes--check out the Summer's Kiss review feed I linked to a bit ago, lots of goodies there. The Citybeat review is a good one, I should post a link.

The review from WISN TV is an interesting one being that it is from my hometown and it is different from all of the other reviews that from a TV station not a newspaper or a magazine. He really goes in depth with his analysis and maybe goes a tad over the top with how these guys are "reaching for the brass ring of stardom" when in reality I think they probably a bit beyond that and they are just trying to make music that they are proud of and can connect with an audience and maybe not even care so much about connecting with the audience from quotes that I have read. These guys love playing and making music. If this CD allows them to do that for a while, they will probably be more than happy. A little extra pocket change would probably help as well, but they probably know better than to wish for that by now.

I really don't have the energy to deal with any of the shit that has gone on in this thread over the last day or two, and I don't really think that it's fair that I'm expected to - when all anyone really had to do was to count to 10 before deciding that whatever you were going to post was worth doing. Most members here are old enough to know better than to engage in pointless arguments that serve no purpose than to make this entire forum look stupid and childish. Those ones that are old enough to know better should simply be ignoring those who aren't. It's not that difficult.
Again - I am trying to get over an illness that is doing its best to flatten me while getting my head round the fact that one of my oldest friends is now dead. Does anyone here think that it's fair for me to be dragged here every 2 days to tell adults to try to behave themselves?

Christ, this elitism conversation is way beyond dull. Thanks to all for posting links to reviews, a shame one has to trawl through a pile of crap to see them though.

Can you guys (apelpis and mokkly (is dead) just give it a rest? This is the review thread, not the flogging a dead horse thread. Sheesh.

God, I'm worked up after watching all that hot nerd action. The only way that could have been any hotter is if all they had stripped down to nothing but those gray hoodies and their tighty-whities. And then mud-wrestled in the front yard. I need to go take a cold shower now

i come to realize that saturnalia is one of those rare records where every song is perfect, no filler...and c'mon how many records do you own that are like that? funny that in one year lanegan was involved in 2 of those rare records..the other one being the brilliant soulsavers collaboration. but wait..there's still: field songs scraps at midnight whiskey for the holy ghost
